Salary: $30.28/hr The Logistics Independent Contractor is responsible for inventory, logistics, documentation, controls, configuration, and shipments of designated product lines to and from worldwide locations. This role supports the Logistics Manager in procuring, warehousing, shipping, and sustaining products while maintaining accurate records. As a contractor, the individual will perform services under the terms of the agreement and is not considered an employee of the company. This is a 612-month contract, working onsite at our Joint Reserve Military Base, Houston Texas. The contractor will need to pass a background check to enter a federal military installation. US Citizenship is required. ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Maintain visibility and control of released product configuration, training, and maintenance documents. Provide production, inventory, and configuration status for timely recordkeeping and invoicing. Control and execute return merchandise authorization shipments and repairs. Receive, sort, and distribute physical shipments and correspondence from approved vendors. Execute inventory control, data collection, and reports. Communicate logistics status with suppliers, shippers, customers, and internal parties. Assemble and apply baseline configurations to assigned products. Pick, pack, and ship inventory against approved sales orders and task orders. Coordinate and execute shipment of equipment worldwide. Prepare freight estimates for complex domestic and international shipments. Create shipping documents including packing lists, load lists, and vendor shipping labels. Ensure compliance with customs, export, and foreign trade/importation regulations. Perform clerical duties such as maintaining records, preparing purchase requests, invoices, and receipts. Resolve supplier issues to maintain production requirements. Collaborate with sales and finance departments to ensure order and inventory accuracy. Update and maintain vendor files. EDUCATION AND KNOWLEDGE NetSuite management systems knowledge and experience a plus. Enterprise Resource Planning systems knowledge and experience a plus. EXPERIENCE 2-4 years of experience in supply/inventory control. TALENTS Excellent verbal and written communication skills. The ability to plan, organize and prioritize multiple, simultaneous performance objectives is a must. Highly organizedand self-motivated. Exercise sound judgement when completing tasks and problems/situations that differ and use creativity to develop optimal solutions. Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality. Must be able to lift 40 lbs and transport it 40 ft unaided. CONTRACTOR TERMS This is a 1099 Contractor Role. Contractor is responsible for their own taxes, insurance and benefits. Engagement is project based and does not constitute employment with the company.
