Having an interest in automobile knowledge is a must, as no two situations are the same and you'll need to make quick decisions under pressure. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include: Respond to calls dispatched to you in a safe, timely manner. Provide roadside assistance in a safe, professional manner that is free of accidents, injuries and damage. Communicate with dispatch in a professional, informative manner as it relates to information necessary to document your status in servicing a call as well as accurate ETA's when requested. Professionally and safely perform emergency road service duties as may be dispatched to you, such as, but not necessarily limited to: Perform damage free towing Perform minor roadside repairs, excluding highways Perform roadside towing of heavy duty vehicles such as 18-wheelers Garbage Trucks Dump Trucks Cement Trucks Perform accident towing and scene clean-up Daily inspects the truck for safety, organization and related equipment, tools, rigging inventory Complete and turn in pre-shift inspection prior to beginning duty each day Immediately reports tools or equipment damaged or missing; Safe driving behavior is a must. Preferred qualifications include a Class A CDL, agriculture background, and endorsements such as Hazmat and Tanker. **Responsibilities** + Under general supervision, carry out general labor responsibilities promptly and efficiently. Responsibilities may include: + Prepare trucks and railcars for loading/unloading, which may require sampling, loosening large nuts, opening hatches, and attaching and/or detaching flexible hoses. + Load and unload agricultural inputs from railcars and/or trucks using heavy or light duty machinery/equipment. + Conduct and properly record repairs and daily, weekly and monthly maintenance tasks.
