What You'll Do:
As a XL Delivery Associate, you will either drive a vehicle or be part of a team, delivering 50 to 100 packages a day. You will be a delivery hero in the neighborhoods you serve - delivering hundreds of smiles to customers every day in the form of critical supplies, household goods, toys and so much more. You can expect to work 4-5 days per week (will have to work many Saturdays) and 10 hours each day.
We have two positions to choose from:
Cargo Van Driver. Earn $20.75 per hour, drive a cargo van, work independently to deliver packages weighing up to 150 pounds.
Helper. Earn $18.00 per hour. No driving required, ride and work with box truck driver to deliver packages up to 300 pounds.

Citation for any moving violation, while operating a motor vehicle (including driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol).
Involvement in a motor vehicle accident with or without client passengers on board.

Van Upkeep
Ensure van is fueled regularly using agencys P-Fleet gas cards.
Maintain fuel & odometer records and submit reports to the Director of Day Service.
Maintain the safe operation of vans through the completion of a pre-route van inspection, including monitoring check engine lights; checking oil, antifreeze, transmission, and windshield fluid levels; tire pressure; and functioning light bulbs.
Submit inspection reports and/or notify the Director of Day Services immediately on vehicle issues that would affect the ability to safely operate the van.
Ensure van is clean and sanitized following each route and conduct a full interior/exterior cleaning at an assigned Car Wash every month or as necessary.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Transportation Driver provides safe and reliable transportation services that directly support our mission to help immigrants and refugees move from uncertainty to stability. This position ensures clients can access essential services by providing timely transportation to medical appointments, CIRA offices, work locations, the airport, and other important destinations throughout Nebraska and Southwest Iowa.
The driver plays a vital role in our clients' daily lives, often serving as a welcoming first point of contact with CIRA services. In addition to transportation, this position assists with vehicle maintenance, occasional donation pickup and delivery, and other operational support as needed. We are seeking a dependable, courteous driver who takes pride in safe driving and wants to contribute meaningfully to helping our clients build the life they want to lead.
CORE FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION:
Provide safe and reliable transportation for clients to appointments, CIRA offices, work, and other essential destinations
Communicate clearly with clients regarding pickup times and schedules
Coordinate with case managers when transportation issues or delays arise
Ensure all passengers follow safety requirements including seatbelt use and proper child seat installation
Maintain professional, courteous service while assisting clients with transportation needs
