About the Role
Workday is seeking an experienced and strategic Global AV & Event Operations Service Owner to drive the operational excellence of our global AV event support and services. This is a critical role responsible for the strategic direction, management, and continuous improvement of our managed service provider (MSP) partnerships, and the development of our global AV support standards. You will act as the primary liaison between our MSP's, and internal partners like Real Estate (REW), Corporate Communications, AV Engineering, and various executive support teams, to ensure the seamless delivery of world-class events.
This role is not about hands-on technical work; it's about leading a service, establishing global standards, and ensuring our partners and senior leaders have the support they need to execute successful, high-impact events.
Strategic Oversight: Provide comprehensive oversight of our global AV managed service providers, starting with the dedicated team at the Pleasanton Meeting Center. You will be responsible for monitoring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and the overall performance of the MSPs by developing a common scorecard. This includes other MSP's who provide AV services globally.
Partner & Stakeholder Liaison: Serve as the key liaison for internal partners and executive stakeholders, ensuring the successful, end-to-end delivery of all events. This includes partnering with Corporate Communications and AV Engineering to define requirements and technical solutions for events, and ensuring white-glove service for all high-stakes, executive-level presentations and events.
Operational Excellence & Process Improvement: Drive the implementation of a strong AV service governance model, establishing standards and efficient processes for the Pleasanton Meeting Center and all global Workday locations, big or small. You will use data and analysis to identify trends and make recommendations to ensure the service runs as smoothly and efficiently as possible. This includes leading continuous improvement initiatives, post-event debriefs, documenting escalation paths, and backup scenarios.
Global Standardization: Partner with our MSP's and support teams to establish and roll out global standards for AV service delivery, ensuring consistency, quality, and standardized reporting across all our locations. You will leverage and maintain a knowledge management system to store content, past performance data, and subject matter expertise to ensure consistency, and own a shared dashboard that keeps stakeholders and leaders informed. Help build an audit system to ensure standards are being maintained.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Foster strong, collaborative relationships with cross-functional teams, including Real Estate, Security, and Catering, to coordinate event logistics. You will also work closely with Executive Support and End-User Services (EUS) teams globally to ensure seamless integration and alignment of high-touch service protocols for senior leadership.
Reporting & Communication: Regularly communicate with partners, providing reports on event support tickets, success rates, and root cause analysis. You will lead regular meetings, including weekly meetings to review upcoming events and monthly operational service meetings. Facilitate Quarterly Business Review (QBR) meetings with MSP's to review service details and ensure adequate resourcing for issues.
About You
Basic Qualifications:
8+ years of professional experience in executive-level AV and IT operations, with a proven track record of managing both onsite and offsite events in a high-pressure, high-visibility environment.
8+ years of experience delivering white-glove IT support services for C-level and senior executive teams, demonstrating discretion, professional maturity, and excellent problem-solving under pressure.
8+ years of experience with vendor management and contract governance, specifically working with large AV managed service providers.
Extensive experience establishing and scaling global standards and processes in an enterprise environment.
Experience applying IT Service Management (ITSM) principles (e.g., ITIL) to AV support, including Incident, Problem, Change, and Knowledge Management processes.

Other Qualifications:
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to influence and collaborate with senior executives and teams.
Strategic mindset with a passion for operational excellence and continuous improvement

Our Approach to Flexible Work
With Flex Work, we're combining the best of both worlds: in-person time and remote. Our approach enables our teams to deepen connections, maintain a strong community, and do their best work. We know that flexibility can take shape in many ways, so rather than a number of required days in-office each week, we simply spend at least half (50%) of our time each quarter in the office or in the field with our customers, prospects, and partners (depending on role). This means you'll have the freedom to create a flexible schedule that caters to your business, team, and personal needs, while being intentional to make the most of time spent together. Those in our remote "home office" roles also have the opportunity to come together in our offices for important moments that matter.
Pursuant to applicable Fair Chance law, Workday will consider for employment qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.

We're building a platform to power warm outbound, allowing go-to-market teams to get in touch with the right people at the exact time they're looking for a solution.
We grew revenue 8x in 2024, and are already serving customers like Perplexity, Together.AI, Justworks, Flock Safety, and more. We're a high energy, high intensity team and we've raised $58M from Thrive, Emergence, OpenAI and others. Come join us in changing how go-to-market works.

Shape Product Roadmap Through Operational Insights: Partner with product and engineering leadership to translate operational improvements and customer needs into long-term roadmap decisions. Your deep operational knowledge will directly inform product strategy.
Design Customer Engagement Strategies: Figure out how to proactively engage customers on this surface area - work closely with the post sales and product operations teams to implement best practices with customers and improve overall satisfaction
Drive Cross-Functional Excellence: Identify bottlenecks, design scalable solutions, and ensure seamless execution across the customer journey from onboarding through expansion.
What You'll Need
Experience
4+ years of experience as a business operations, revenue operations, or strategy & operations professional at a high-growth B2B SaaS company, with demonstrated success scaling operational processes

Nearly every disease will become treatable in our lifetimes. Mandolin is laying the clinical and financial infrastructure to get groundbreaking treatments to patients faster, powered by AI agents.
Mandolin partners closely with the largest healthcare institutions in the US, covering more than $10B drug spend across the country. We're backed by Greylock, SV Angel, Maverick, SignalFire, and the founders of Vercel, Decagon, and Yahoo.
Why we need you
We're post-product-market fit, growing fast, and entering a pivotal next chapter. You'll have a front-row seat (and a direct hand) in building the future of our company-from internal systems to external strategy. This role is a launchpad into broader leadership depending on your interest.
You'll be the connective tissue across the company-turning insight into action, chaos into structure, and vision into strategy. You'll work directly with the CEO and leadership team on everything from internal operations to external go-to-market strategy, market intelligence, and investor communications.
This is a role for someone who wants to build not just the “how,” but also help shape the “why” and “where next.” If you're strategic, resourceful, and motivated by impact, we want to meet you.
What you'll do
Operational strategy: Analyze and refine how we operate-from team structure to process design to tooling.
Market and competitive insight: Lead research to deepen our understanding of customer needs, competitors, and white space-turning findings into actionable priorities.
Business model + pricing: Support development of new commercial models and refine existing pricing strategies with Product and Sales.
OKRs and goal setting: Help the leadership team set and track company-wide priorities that align with both product and business objectives.
Lead high-priority initiatives: Own complex, cross-functional projects-from customer operations to partner evaluations to new market assessments.
Design scalable systems: Implement tools and workflows that improve company velocity and transparency (reporting, dashboards, documentation, etc.).
Board & investor reporting: Own preparation of board decks, investor updates, and strategic narratives. Ensure we always know (and can tell) the story behind our numbers.
Data + decision support: Build financial and operational models, generate insights, and guide decisions on hiring, GTM strategy, and expansion.
Must-have experience
Have 5+ years of experience in strategy, BizOps, or consulting roles at high-growth startups, healthtech companies, or top-tier firms.
Have worked in a 0→1 environment and helped build company-level strategy from the ground up.
Are strategic and structured-you bring clarity to ambiguity, and frameworks to chaos.
Think like a general manager: you're commercially minded, analytical, and comfortable driving outcomes across functions.
Are a crisp communicator-you can distill complexity and influence decisions from ICs to investors.
Are equally comfortable in Google Sheets, boardrooms, Notion docs, and product meetings.
Care deeply about impact and healthcare innovation.
Nice-to-haves
Have experience in AI, healthcare, biotech, or regulated industries.
Auto-ApplyBusiness Operations
Owner/operator job in San Francisco, CA
For companies building financial technology and transforming the financial services space, the biggest bottleneck to their growth and innovation is often the underlying banks and infrastructure stack they rely on. We have spent our careers founding and scaling companies like Plaid, Square, Meta, Blend, and Affirm, and have seen this problem firsthand - builders and developers needing to partner with traditional banks, and creating API and abstraction layers over the patchwork that is the bank, its core, and many other vendors. All of this results in a complex (and often expensive) banking supply chain involving a user, fintech, BaaS middleware provider, bank, core and the Federal Reserve.
At Column, we set out to simplify and fix this. We are a bank and a software company built from the ground up, offering builders and developers technology-forward banking solutions that cut out the hundreds of vendors, middleware providers, and abstraction layers. This means a safer, more transparent, and less costly banking supply chain. Come build with us!
The opportunity
As a founding member of Column's Business Operations team, you will be responsible for helping lay the foundation for the company's next decade of growth. This team will own Column's most important strategic and operational initiatives, with a heavy focus on designing new operating systems that will directly impact our ability to scale. Individuals in this role will serve as the “GM” of a particular product or project, diving deep into a wide range of challenges across product strategy, pricing optimization, compliance operations, and internal tool/platform development. You will have the opportunity to experience having P&L ownership of a particular product, while working alongside senior leadership at Column to take our business to the next level.
This position will be in-person in our Presidio-based office in San Francisco (3-4 days/week) - we will support relocation for the right candidate.
What you'll do
Own the strategy and operations for key distribution channels and products
Design and implement our most critical scaling initiatives, with a heavy focus on optimizing the speed with which we can onboard and support new customers
Drive decisions around “build vs. buy” strategies for new tooling and systems we need to drive automation and scale - work closely with our engineering team to define design requirements for our “build” projects
Support go-to-market strategy and commercialization (e.g., pricing, margin optimization) of current and future state products
Partner with our Finance team to maintain a pulse on the financial health of our product lines - highlight key metrics we should be looking at, and call out relevant trends for us to get ahead on
Be an integral part of yearly strategy and company goal planning
Serve as “chief project manager” across all of the above, owning timelines and driving accountability on execution across the team
What you'll need to be successful
7+ years of experience in strategy and business operations in a high-growth environment; prior experience at a top-tier management consulting firm strongly preferred
Ability to jump into new situations and quickly solve problems, with an eye toward architecting solutions that will scale
Experience influencing and managing multiple stakeholders with varying priorities, and getting them to commit to executing against a shared goal
Hyper-organized approach to project management, including coordinating efforts across multiple teams; comfort juggling multiple projects and priorities is critical
Scrappy, roll-up-your-sleeves attitude - we thrive because we work harder, are more creative, and have zero ego when it comes to getting our hands dirty to build a business
Familiarity with the banking and fintech industries is preferred, but not required - an interest in becoming an expert in this space, however, is a must
What you'll get from us
🏥 Comprehensive health, dental, and vision plans, including options that are 100% covered by Column for you and 100% covered for your dependents!
🐣 Comprehensive family planning and fertility benefits via partnership with Carrot, including reimbursement of up to $20,000 in qualified expenses
🏡 Up to $2,000 (post-tax) monthly rent subsidy for employees living within 2 miles of Column's office
💳 FSA and HSA account options to enable use of pre-tax money for medical and dependent care expenses
📈 401k plan, including self-directed brokerage options
🌴 Flexible time-off policy - take the time off that you want and need to relax and recharge
👶 100% paid parental leave, including 16 weeks for birth mothers, 12 weeks for primary caregivers, and 8 weeks for secondary caregivers
😇 Up to $4,500 in annual reimbursements for backup childcare
🍽️ Catered lunches and dinners for SF employees
🚆 Commuter benefits, including paid transportation to-and-from the office
🎉 Regular team building events, including annual offsite
Pay transparency:
Compensation packages at Column include base salary, equity, and benefits. New hire offers are made based on a candidate's experience, expertise, geographic location, and internal pay equity relative to peers.
The annual US base salary range for this role is $180,000 - $240,000 + equity.
We look forward to hearing from you

Our Operating Principles
Put Users first. Our users rely on us to do their jobs. We exist because our users trust us to help them achieve their goals. In return for this trust users place in us, we keep their needs as our top priority.
Win as a collective. We are high achievers with a drive to succeed. We build strong bonds over this shared drive. We dive in to help when one of us needs it. We're kind to each other and boost each other to succeed and grow professionally and personally. We build trust with each other by making commitments and consistently delivering on them. This trust means we genuinely support each other, embracing feedback as a tool for growth and improvement. We win by operating this way, as one team.
Focus and iterate quickly. Bias for action makes us build and learn quickly. Iterating fast requires clarity on what outcomes we are targeting and why. Prioritizing the important things, taking full ownership and initiative, making fast initial progress, and rapid iterations lead to the best outcomes.
Innovate Relentlessly. We pursue novel insights, challenging the status quo and reimagining how things are done. We aren't attached to the past when improving our product and how we work in the future. We actively invest time in innovation, thinking “outside the box” to consistently raise our standards.
Prioritize Outcomes over Egos. We are committed not to a person, an idea, or an opinion but to continuously making progress to our goals. Sometimes, our goals are ambiguous; in those moments, we iterate, learn, and move on to the next inquiry. We ask the tough questions with kindness, dropping our egos in our pursuit of evidence. For our business goals, we learn from our users. For our scientific goals, our understanding is built through rigorous experimentation, research, and observation. For our personal goals, we embrace candid feedback and collaborative learning to guide our progress.
