Provide classroom instruction and on-road training, and ensure driver performance to regulatory compliance, policies, procedures, and safety culture. Administer, monitor, and/or distribute training material to ensure staff meet or exceed training and safety standards. Monitor, review, and maintain Hours of Service regulations Facilitate driver safety meetings by Corporate guidelines Understand, support, and follow management expectations in alignment with company values. Conduct or participate in the interview process with new candidates. Take an active role in the onboarding of new hires, including ensuring that training is complete to a satisfactory level. Supervise and direct the work of others, including assignments of breaks, lunches, and other relief periods. Make decisions and recommendations regarding hiring, terminations, overtime, and pay adjustments, as applicable. Responsible for employee development, discipline, performance feedback and appraisals, administration of polices, time off approvals, etc. Up to 5% - 50% domestic travel, depending on the time of year and geographical location. Work is split between an office environment, production/warehouse facility, and/or in a Commercial Motor Vehicle. Additional work hours, including weekends, holidays, and on-call as required.
