Thank you for taking time to stop by and take a look at the IT QA Engineer role I posted here on LinkedIN, I appreciate it. Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Tom Welke. I am Partner & VP at RSM Solutions, Inc and I have been recruiting technical talent for over 22 years and been in the tech sector since the 1990s. So, no 'bots' no 'AI'...just a real person watching old episodes of Top Gear writing a real job description. So, let's get into it. Social fit is going to be almost as important as technical fit for this role. So, here are some of those social fit characteristics: This environment is one that is, while in the insurance space, is not boring. You will find people here that genuinely want to do their best work...this is one of those places where the tide raises all boats. There is an expectation that you want to do your best work...just like your team mates. This previous bullet point leads to this one...there is limited micro-management in this role. That limited micro management is great...but it also means you don't need to be micro-managed. This role is being done onsite in any of these locations. I am ONLY looking at candidates that are within driving distance to these locations: Cedar Rapids, Iowa (this location is the preference) Des Mones, Iowa Baton Rouge, Louisiana Rosemount, Illinois This role is permanent and fully benefitted. In addition, I can only work with US Citizens or Green Card Holders. I cannot work with H1b, OPT, EAD, F1, STEM or anyone that is not a US Citizen or Green Card Holder for this role. This role is a mix of QA and software development. You will be developing & implementing automated testing solutions. You will work closed with developers and QA teams to design & execute automated tests that verify the functionality & performance of software. Here is what we are looking for (all of these are must haves): At least 5 years of experience in software development and testing. In order for this role to be a fit, you must have experience leading testing projects, working with automated testing tools and mentoring junior level team members. (HINT: these things will need to be in your resume to be considered) Recent experience working in an Azure DevOps environment (this experience must be recent...within the last year). Proficiency in tools like Selenium, Appium, jUnit, and the Tricentis suite. Experience with tools like Tosca & Leapworks (in other words, low-code or no-code automation tools). At least 2 years of experience with C#, Python, Ruby, PHP, JavaScript, and other languages related to automated testing. Experience leading the creation of and standing up of at least 1 test automation framework & solution. Experience with Visual Studio, Azure DevOps, GIT & Sql.
