Salary Schedule E3 04 $39,759-$57,251, based upon the Alabama Community College System Salary Schedule to be determined by the applicant's education and years of applicable experience. Job Responsibilities:
Mentorship of Students
Create an environment that fosters faculty and students academic growth and professional development
Serve as a resource person, mentor, and policy interpreter for students
Identify and offer academic and/or professional resources (internal and external) to foster the educational and personal growth of students
Develop campus-specific programs and strategies to improve retention and graduation rates
Coordinate student services related to tutoring and counseling
Meet with and advise students on course-load reductions, Extended Leaves, and course drop requests
Oversee end-of-term student advising, including meeting with and advising students who have to repeat classes based on academic results and developing appropriate schedules
Manage the development, implementation, and documentation of graduation and NCLEX processes, resources, and services for students
Provide NCLEX and general student skill development and academic support for students through oversight of tutoring, study groups, in-class teaching assistance, and instructor referral
Monitor NCLEX preparation results and coordinate meetings for the development of individualized remediation plans and track NCLEX Performance
Participate in the admissions process, including education interviews, evaluations, recommendations, etc.
Perform duties of a faculty member and other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications
Required Qualifications/Competencies:
Masters Degree or Higher in Nursing
Current license in State as a registered professional nurse
2 + years of working experience in the area of education
Ability to maintain and report on student information and track record of achieving goals
Exceptional student/customer service, listening, and teamwork skills
An outgoing, approachable style and a passion for helping students succeed
