The Senior Field Service Technician (FST) is a field based position working independently to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain our chemical dispensing equipment as well as other equipment used in commercial foodservice or laundry operations. Job Qualifications
The ideal candidate would have a great work ethic and a willingness to learn new skills with provided training. This candidate would have a basic understanding in electronics, plumbing, maintenance or mechanical systems with the ability to troubleshoot with root cause analysis. Moderate working knowledge of appropriate tools, data, implements and service needs. Proficient in laptop and cell phone technology to include but not limited to Salesforce, Microsoft Word and Excel.
Candidate must have a valid driver's license. Occasional overnight travel is required.
Essential Job Functions

The ImmunoDiagnostics Division (IDD) develops, manufactures, and markets complete blood test systems to support the clinical diagnosis and follow-up of allergy and autoimmune diseases. The allergy and autoimmunity product lines operate on a common automated instrument platform, Phadia Laboratory Systems, which supports both efficiency and cost savings in clinical laboratories around the world.
This position is remote and located in the Columbus, OH or Cincinnati, OH area.
How will you make an impact?
IDD Field Service Engineers (FSEs) provide extraordinary on-site service on highly complicated and coordinated systems within hospitals and commercial reference laboratories in their assigned service territories. This is accomplished through technical expertise, teamwork, and outstanding customer service.
What will you do?
* Provide onsite service including repairs, preventive maintenance, upgrades, and installation of IDD analyzers.
* Travel, on short notice, to customer sites to resolve reported issues or support other field service personnel.
* Observe and follow Good Documentation Practices (GDPs) and internal policies and processes as required for field service reports and job-related submissions pertaining to spare parts: ordering, usage, returns, physical count, etc.
* Display integrity, understanding, tact, fairness, and technical knowledge in all customer interactions.
* Collaborate with internal partners to resolve customer issues and improve processes.
* Provide remote and onsite service training or assistance to Biomedical Engineering Technicians (BMET) or Advanced Operators.
* Increase technical proficiency level servicing instruments by completing in-person or online training courses.
* Handle travel expenses and follow Thermo Fisher Scientific travel policies and guidelines.

Education
Associate degree from a Technical or Engineering field in Electronics, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical, or equivalent combination of skills and experience.
Experience
* Experience in related life sciences, biomedical engineering and/or technical customer-facing roles.
* Experience with operating, fixing, repairing, and calibrating sophisticated analyzers or systems.
* Experience in a clinical, diagnostic and/or another regulated environment (CAP, CLIA, FDA) preferred.
* Strong proficiency on Windows and other software, network knowledge, electrical/electronics, mechanics, chemistry technology; an analytical problem solver with good engineering skill.

The Operating Technician Level 1 position can have responsibility for the equipment spare parts storeroom, material handling and/or production line operations. All technicians work together with other Cambridge team members to achieve business objectives of safety, quality, productivity, customer service, cost and environmental protection. Core Responsibilities:
* Primary responsibility on a production line may include but not limited to the Operation, Cleaning, Lubrication, Inspection, Troubleshooting and Changeover of non-automated and automated packaging equipment.
* Equipment identified but not limited to the Casemaker, Palletizer, Stretch Wrapper, Print / Apply, Case Turner, Case Sealer, Case Packer, Leak Tester, Spout Inserter and Bottle/Case Conveying will be the primary equipment for an entry level technician assigned to a production line. Understands how to access and enter equipment downtime information into the OPERA system.
* Assist maintenance and operating team members in troubleshooting and performing minor repairs on production equipment. Takes initiative to participate in continuous learning opportunities. Seeks knowledge of others in the work team to develop skills. Understands how to access EAM (Equipment Asset Management) to issue a work request notification.
* Confirms availability of packing materials needed for current and next scheduled production run. Coordinates with others on operating, planning and logistic team to ensure availability of materials. Understands how to access SAP/ZQUAL for production schedule and available materials.
* Understands and adheres to Colgate Quality, cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practices) and Micro (Cleaning and Sanitization) standards and guidelines. Daily responsibility for performing quality sampling, accurately completing daily shift production batch records, visual, finished case/pallet quality checks and area cleaning checklist. Understands how to use a computer to access SAP for bill of materials (BOM) to verify materials used for finished case production and OPERA for entering quality check information.
* Understands and adheres to EOHS requirements for the facility. Adheres to Minimum Safe Behaviors (MSB'S), wears personal protective equipment (PPE) where required.
* Responsibility for safe operation of forklift in unloading of materials from delivery vehicles and delivery of those materials and supplies to the assigned storage locations or production lines as needed. Prepares and loads finished product for shipment to customers. Understands how to use a computer to access warehouse management system (WMS) for product loading to delivery vehicle.
* Understands the parts storeroom storage system and can locate parts as needed to support plant needs. Assist operating, maintenance and engineering team members in locating parts needed for equipment.
* Understands how to use a computer to access SAP for inventory control, parts stock overview, goods receipts and maintenance reports. Understands the goals of visual workplace (VWP) and performs housekeeping activities as per established protocol. Supports housekeeping assessments as required. Stays abreast of plant and team's overall performance via visual, written and verbal communications.
* Participates in scheduled review of team production performance and uses information to support and drive continuous improvement. Understands, supports and applies continuous improvement tools such as Root Cause Analysis in identifying opportunities to resolve issues and improve results.

Pay is determined based on experience, qualifications, and location. Salaried employees may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing, and long-term incentives for Executive-level roles.

Please note that the following summary provides an overview of the P&G Dayton Fulfillment Center's expectations for technicians:
Operations Schedule: This site operates continuously 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Scope of Work: This role requires to work in a warehousing environment, occasionally lifting boxes that weigh 50lbs. This role requires at least two years of experience in leadership or training. Leadership experience does not need to be in warehouse or manufacturing. This role is physically demanding, and requires you to work on your feet during your shift. You will need to lead a line of 7-10 temporary associates and work in a high stress atmosphere.
Work Schedule: Technicians are usually scheduled to work Monday - Friday. They may be scheduled to work any day of the week, including weekends or holidays when necessary.
Work Hours: Technicians are traditionally expected to work 8.5 hours per day.
We have two shift options; shifts are assigned depending on business need. We cannot guarantee your preference of shift is what you will be assigned.
Shifts currently available:
Second shift 2:00pm-11:00pm
Changes in business volume and production requirements can cause the site to occasionally change the length of work shifts or the rotation schedule. The hours of work can vary from 8 to 12 hours daily. Technicians are expected to be willing to rotate to any shift.
Flexibility: Technicians may work rotating shifts. Technicians need to be on time and ready to work each day.
Overtime: Overtime may be required on weekends and/or holidays.

Job Qualifications
+ Must be 18 years of age or older
+ Must have a high school diploma or GED
+ Must have 2 years of leadership or training experience
