Qualifications
The candidate must have a strong understanding of environmental regulations affecting complex industrial facilities and have an extensive skill set and demonstrated experience in one or more of the following areas: Clean Air Act (CAA) regulations, Clean Water Act (CWA), Regulations, Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) requirements and/or Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act (EPCRA) requirements. This role has the opportunity to grow Trinity's business across environmental media while supporting and growing the Baton Rouge office's strong air-focused client base.
Critical to the success of this role is a passion for helping client companies meet their compliance obligations while maintaining operational flexibility and a keen focus on quality of work products. Applicants must be experienced in developing, nurturing, and leveraging key relationships to build business, and in training and mentoring staff. Responsibilities
· Leading project teams to provide timely, exceptional quality project deliverables related to environmental permitting and compliance
· Effective project management to ensure efficient task performance and timely delivery of work products
· Providing technical leadership on complex regulatory issues
· Ensuring all work products meet quality standards as prescribed under the company's ISO 9001 quality program and client expectations
· Employing strategic approaches for identifying target clients and winning projects
· Leveraging and developing relationships to build long-term business partnerships in key industry sectors including energy, chemical manufacturing and petroleum storage terminals
· Maintaining effective relationships with regulatory personnel in multiple jurisdictions
· Participating in key stakeholder forums and industry groups
· Collaborating with other client service managers to effectively serve national clients
· Developing junior staff regarding regulatory knowledge, analytical techniques, client communication, business development, and leadership skills

The incumbent will be conducting work critical to managing, monitoring and assessing the status of California's groundfish stocks which support some of the State's largest and most valuable marine fisheries. Day to day job tasks can range from developing outreach materials and answering phone call to recreational and/or commercial anglers to analyzing catch data against harvest limits to report to managers. The Environmental Project Scientist- Air Quality/Emissions is a mid-level position within our Integrated Air Services (IAS) Group. WESTON has an immediate opening for an Environmental Specialist. The position supports our contract with the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Region 3 that includes Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia, Washington, D.C., and seven Tribal Nations. The successful candidate will have a strong desire to make a difference in our communities by doing work that helps to protect public health and our environment.
The position will include field work and office work supporting field projects involving investigations and remediation of hazardous waste sites. Specific duties will include, but are not limited to, leading projects, performing sampling of environmental media (soil, water, waste, air, etc.), chemical and physical screening of samples in the field, shipping samples to laboratories for analysis, evaluating analytical results, and preparing reports of investigations and removal actions. The position also includes participation as an on-call emergency responder, serving approximately 1 week per month for 24/7 emergency response to chemical and oil spills. This position requires the ability to travel.
This position is an integral member of the project team, interfacing with internal and external clients, preparing project deliverables, and clearly communicating with other project team members.

Qualifications:
* B.S. or M.S. Environmental Science, or related Engineering, Physical or Life Science with at least 6 years of direct experience in a variety of environmental response operations, such as sampling, assessments, lab coordination, and document preparation.
* Must be able to lift 50 lbs. (field equipment, PPE, etc.)
* Must be eligible to work in the United States and have a valid driver's license.
Preferred Experience:
* Experience planning and leading environmental site investigations at sites with potentially hazardous substances.
* Interacting with clients to understand project objectives and expectations.
* OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER training in accordance with OSHA 29 CFR 1910 preferred.
* Preparation of field work plans, including health and safety plans and field sampling plans. Experience preparing quality assurance project plans (QAPP) and/or UFP QAPPs is a plus.
* Oversight of subcontractors
* Ability to organize and review data (analytical data, monitoring data)
* Collection of multimedia samples (soil, water, air, waste).
* Use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
* Use of air and water monitoring instrumentation.
* Use of standard office applications (Microsoft Office suite)
* Technical report and planning document preparation.
* ICS training and experience is a plus.
Responsibilities:
* Rotations as an "on-call" responder available 24 hrs. a day for one week at a time (typically one or fewer times per month). Maintain preparedness for immediate mobilization while on-call.
* Assist or lead field work efforts, which may require travel to remote locations for up to two weeks at a time, potentially on short notice.
* Collection and management of environmental samples.
* Calibration and maintenance of a variety of multi-media monitoring and sampling equipment.
* Documentation of field activities and preparation of daily reports for EPA client.
* Use OSHA Level D-A PPE to make entries into potentially hazardous areas.
