Pace Industries company history timeline

1970

Pace Industries was founded in 1970 with a small die casting facility located in Harrison, AR. Today, the company has become one of the largest and most diversified die casting companies in the world.

1980

In the late 1980’s, Pace grew considerably and built a national reputation as an expert in large, thin-walled die castings serving the lighting and grill industries.

1988

Expanding its geographic footprint and product offerings, Pace acquired Mangas Tool & Die of Muscle Shoals, AL, to offer tool and die production and expertise to its growing customer base in 1988.

1995

In 1995, Pace acquired a second tool and die shop, Patterson Mold of St Louis, MO.

1996

1996: Pace was acquired by Fortune 500 company, Leggett & Platt Incorporated (“L&P”) . At the time of the acquisition, Pace had grown to become the largest non-automotive independent die caster in North America.

1997

1997: Pace acquired Cambridge tool & manufacturing inc.

1998

1998: Pace acquired B&C Die Cast in Jonesboro, Arkansas, marking Pace’s entry into conventional and miniature zinc die casting.

2002

2002: Pace acquired Emerson Electric’s share of the joint Venture becoming sole owner of the Saltillo plant

2015

2015: Pace grew its market share in automotive both organically and through the acquisition of a leading Michigan-based automotive die casting company in 2015 (Formerly Port City Group)

2021

2021: Pace opened new world headquarters in Detroit, Michigan
