Successfully delivers plumbing products to customers' home and/or other specified locations
Documents all pertinent information with regard to daily delivery paperwork for accurate record keeping
Listens to and resolves delivery concerns in the field and escalates issues if beyond their skill set
Safely loads and unloads trucks
Obtains customer signature on packing slips for the receipt of goods with regard to pick-ups and deliveries
Communicates status of each stop to scheduling and routing advisor along with accounting for accurate billing process
Cleans and maintains the interior of the vehicle
Performs routine inspections on vehicles using vehicle inspection form and reports any immediate safety concern to management
Assists in training of new Delivery Drivers
Receives orders through supervisor from prepared and prioritized work tags.
Pulls orders from inventory, manually and/or utilizing forklift.
Prepares materials for delivery to and/or pick up by customers. Packs materials in boxes or on pallets (as appropriate), and labels accordingly.
Checks filled orders prior to delivery or pick up to ensure accuracy and timeliness of order.
Fills out a bill of lading for materials being delivered to customer.
Makes notation on invoice for materials pulled for customer pick up and places in file until customer signs it for their materials.
Maintains cleanliness of the overall facility to support safety standards, with an emphasis on the area assigned to the workgroup.
Looks up part numbers, quantities, product locations, and customer information on the computer, as appropriate.
Refills shelves and racks from overstock, as needed. Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a cooperative manner with customers, co-workers and managers.

Key Responsibilities
As a Warehouse Associate, you will play a vital role in the daily operations of our distribution center:
Product Handling: Accurately pull, scan, package, and stage orders for delivery
Inbound Processing: Receive shipments and stock inventory in designated warehouse locations
Loading & Unloading: Stack, wrap, and load/unload trucks safely and efficiently
Equipment Operation: Use pallet jacks, forklifts, order pickers, and other warehouse equipment (training provided)
Inventory Accuracy: Ensure correct parts and quantities are handled at every step
Team Collaboration: Communicate clearly with peers and supervisors to ensure workflow success

Day to Day Warehouse Team Member Activities
Provide excellent customer service to all customers and fellow Team Members
Receive in product shipments, unload, and put away products in warehouse bin location
Pick customer orders, verify order accuracy, and prepare for delivery
Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, order pickers, pallet jacks
Assist fellow Team Members as needed
Warehouse Team Member Requirements
High school diploma or GED
Ability to regularly lift 50 pounds and occasionally lift up to 75 pounds
Ability to frequently work at heights up to 30'
Regular, consistent attendance for scheduled shifts
Inventory/Cycle counting experience preferred, but not required

Day to Day Inside Sales Representative Activities
Responsible for accurately processing all online orders placed through SlakeyCustomer and the Slakey App
Work closely with local Branch and Sales teams to ensure customer expectations are met
Identify best practices, process improvements, and website enhancements to improve the Customer service experience
Continually develop and maintain strong product knowledge
Education/Experience/Skills
High school diploma or GED required
1+ years industry experience or equivalent knowledge preferred
Working knowledge of products sold and product application
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Able to handle multiple activities in a fast-paced environment
Demonstrated ability to manage details and meet deadlines with 100% accuracy
Superior Customer service-oriented approach, respond to requests with a sense of urgency

Previous driving experience required

21 years or older

Ability to work at heights up to 30 feet
Previous driver/warehouse experience is beneficial, but not required
Must be able to provide driving abstract
A minimum qualification for our driver positions is that a candidate must have a clear driving abstract. According to Slakey policy, that means you must meet the following criteria to be considered:
Your record must show that for the last three years, you have not received:
One citation for driving under the influence, such as a DUI or similar citation
One citation for reckless and/or negligent driving
One speeding citation in excess of 20 mph over the speed limit in a Company vehicle
And/or two or more citations for speeding.
