The Trauma Process Improvement (PI) Coordinator RN/Data Registrar, under direction of the Trauma Program Manager, is responsible for coordination and facilitation of the Trauma Performance Improvement Program. Position Summary
The NPD Specialist Program Manager - Patient Education will have primary organizational responsibility for all aspects of the Patient Education program including researching, planning, implementing, evaluating and sustaining the program across MHS. The incumbent will create and sustain said educational program by establishing a governance structure that includes representation from IS&T, Nursing, Medicine, Contracts and other key stakeholders to ensure MHS utilizes a standardized approach in decision making around patient education software, hardware, implementation and evaluation of program. Additionally, the incumbent will collaborate with the EMR department, Nursing, Medicine and other key stakeholders to develop standardized workflows related to patient education. The PM-Patient Education will also identify methods for evaluating potential connections with patient education standardization and implementation with readmission rates and patient satisfaction and subsequent programmatic adaptations to improve both. The PM-Patient Education will partner with Quality and Safety Departments, as well as, Risk and Legal Departments to ensure the Patient Education Program addresses regulatory requirements.
This position operates independently under the guidance of the Executive Director of Clinical Education & Professional Practice Development with limited supervision. Work situations are varied with an emphasis on product analysis, gap analysis, expected outcomes, evaluation and return on investment, program management, customer relations, standardization, communication, organization, prioritization, research, flexibility and creativity. Decisions are made in collaboration with the Executive Director. This position has extensive internal contact with department staff, nursing leaders and staff, physician leaders and MHS administration. External contacts include outside agencies, organizations, vendors and other entities that influence department objectives.
Requirements
* Master's degree in Nursing
* PhD in Nursing, DNP, or ARNP preferred
* Registered Nurse license (RN) in Washington State or multi-state licensure endorsement (MSL)
* ANCC NPD specialty certification preferred; if not in possession at time of hire, must acquire within two (2) years of hire
* Minimum four (4) years of acute care nursing practice
* Minimum three (3) year Program management experience within an education role preferred
* Minimum three (3) years previous experience as unit educator, system educator, NPD Specialist/Generalist preferred

+ Submit all Purchase Orders per assigned vendor to fulfill installation and inventory needs, as well as facility repair and construction work orders.
+ Track closely to ensure proper delivery schedules and dates while establishing correct lead times for vendor orders through the PO log.
+ May be involved in aspects of the ordering process for new hospitals, relocations, and hospital closings.
+ Support and/or manage all relocation projects from announcement to completion, including partnering with hospital staff and vendors to complete tasks, moving inventory and ensuring minimal disturbance to the operation of the hospital.
+ May work with Commercial to maintain proper equipment and part numbers in software systems
+ Manage select vendors to confirm correct installation of equipment and items (i.e. radiation equipment, medical equipment, cages/runs, etc.).
+ Develop and implement set-up protocols based on general guidelines, limitations and priorities in order to account for various floor plan or facility variations.
+ Daily liaison between the installation team and hospital Operations.
+ Update Opening's schedule with correct hospital addresses, phone numbers and points of contact.
+ Work closely with construction and design team on all facility issues and punch items are completed in a timely manner before and during hospital set ups.
+ Communicate any remaining issues to practice manager and work to ensure timely resolution.
+ Manage open issues relating to the installation and inventory process (i.e. facilities, equipment/supplies, IT, phones, marketing, banking, etc.).
+ Assist with developing work schedules to maximize cost savings.
+ Develop and document procedures and systems to improve the hospital installation and inventory process.

Student Services Coordinators are part of the Student Services team at Briya Public Charter School - a leading two-generation education program serving immigrant parents and their young children. Briya is a Tier One Public Charter School, consistently achieving the highest educational outcomes through its innovative, family-centric programming.
At Briya, adults acquire English, digital literacy, and parenting skills, with some continuing to the school's workforce development programs. At the same time, their young children attend Briya's high-quality early childhood program.
Briya has a strategic partnership with Mary's Center, a Federally Qualified Health Center, further strengthening student families with comprehensive medical, dental, and social services.
Briya is unique not only because of its integration of adult and early childhood education but also because of its commitment to looking at student families holistically and assisting them in overcoming any barriers they face. At three of its four campuses, Briya is co-located with Mary's Center, which provides Briya students with wraparound services including mental health care, dental care, social services, and WIC, as well as assistance accessing SNAP, TANF, and other social supports. Student Services Coordinators are key in ensuring adult students and their families access services at Mary's Center and those offered by other community partners.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
The Student Services Coordinator position may include, but is not limited to, the following tasks and responsibilities:
Adult Student Support (75%)
Provide support to families with social service needs (in conjunction with the education team and other staff members as appropriate).
Problem-specific case management and direct assistance with the obstacles families face in accessing health care, mental health services, public benefits, employment, education, housing, social services and legal services.
Support families facing crisis situations such as domestic violence and risk of homelessness.
Provision of services in natural settings such as home, school, court, or other social services agencies as needed.
Report incidents of child abuse and neglect and participate as an active member of the intervention team to assist families.
Refer adult students and families to services at Mary's Center and other community partners. Serve as the liaison for students and service providers.
Coordinate mental health services, including individual and group support for students, through Briya's partnership with Mary's Center.
Develop relationships with Mary's Center and other community partners.
Follow-up with students and community partners on referral outcomes.
Share information about community resources and events with students.
Appropriate documentation of referrals and outcomes, including maintaining monthly statistics and providing reports as needed.
Student Events/Activities (25%):
Serve on the Site-Based Coordination Team to build community among staff, plan site meetings and events, identify and support families of concern and facilitate collaboration across departments.

Collaborate with teachers to share resources with adult students through various communication channels.
