Pacific School of Religion (PSR) is a progressive, interdenominational
Christian seminary in San Francisco, California. PSR was one of the first
seminaries that openly embraced women, minorities and students from other
disenfranchised groups. Today, PSR is still committed to this mission of
accepting diverse students into their diverse programs of study. PSR's degree programs include master's degrees in: * Divinity * Ministry * Theological Studies Academics also touch on a range of subjects. In addition to Biblical
studies, theology, pastoral care and ministerial studies, faculty
integrates study of the arts, gender issues and politics. Graduates also choose varied career paths, which include: * Chaplaincy * Christian education * Community organization * Social service administration The school also represents religious diversity. PSR has affiliations with
United Church of Christ, United Methodist Church and Disciples of Christ.
However, PSR students come from various Christian denominations and even
hail from other faiths. PSR offers compassionate service to all of its students, as seen by its
Circle of Care organization. The Circle of Care offers support in times
of grief or other types of hardship to PSR students and members of the
community. Applicants should submit admissions applications with transcripts, a
personal essay, resume and four letters of recommendation. PSR offers federal financial aid awards, which could include loans and
