As a Claims Manager, you will oversee a team of Claims Representatives who process and adjudicate claims from our nationwide dealer network. This person will ensure claims are handled efficiently, fairly, and in line with company policies, while maintaining strong relationships with both dealers and internal departments such as Sales, Underwriting, and Accounting.
This role combines leadership, process improvement, and technical expertise in the powersports industry. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, team-focused, and experienced in warranty or extended service contract management-especially within powersports or recreational sectors.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the Claims Department by supervising the daily activities of Claims Representatives.
Review and approve claims outside of rep authority levels.
Train and mentor claims staff on technical procedures, coverage guidelines, and dealer communications.
Develop and implement standards for claims processing to improve turnaround time and accuracy.
Collaborate with the Sales team to resolve claim disputes or escalations.
Analyze claim trends and data to identify patterns and enhance product design.
Maintain a positive working relationship with repair facilities, service managers, and dealers nationwide.
Track department KPIs (e.g., average handling time, approval rates, customer satisfaction).
Requirements:
The Ideal Candidate will have the following:
5+ years of experience in warranty, service contracts, or claims management (Powersports or Automotive preferred).
2+ years of leadership experience managing a service department, claims, or customer service team.
Deep understanding of mechanical systems for powersports vehicles.
Strong knowledge of extended service contracts and claims processes.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency with claims management systems, CRM, and Microsoft 365 tools.
Excellent phone etiquette, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and organized.

Regularly assessing damages and completing estimates through computer based estimating software and reaching agreements on scope and cost of repairs with customers and/or their representative both in person, virtually and via phone. Responsible for compliance with state insurance regulations and company claims handling guidelines at all times.
