Responsibilities * Install, maintain, test, adjust, troubleshoot, repair, operate, and overhaul all substation apparatus such as generators, circuit breakers, transformers, electric motors, protective devices, capacitor banks, regulators, condensers, pumps, reactors, load tap changers, circuit switchers, motor-operated and manual switches, bus work, wiring, battery banks and chargers, and associated equipment at switch-yards, and substations or power plants if requested. * Perform all substation inspections and documentation activities that accompany these duties for all substation equipment. * Install and maintain station service auto transfer panels, emergency generator instrumentation and controls. Assist in the installation of protective relaying or metering equipment. Install conduit, and pull wire or cable as necessary. * Use special equipment to test, maintain, or troubleshoot apparatus such as take oil samples (DGA and quality), Hydran, oil processing, power factor testing, ground grid, TTR, high pot, breaker timing, infrared camera, etc. * Work from blueprints, instruction manuals, schematics, and manufacturer's bulletins, to install, layout, repair, and/or maintain all electrical or mechanical systems as it pertains to apparatus equipment. * Perform welding and operate shop equipment such as, drill presses, grinders, saws, and torches in the repair of, manufacture, or maintenance of equipment and apparatus * Install, maintain and repair lighting, security systems, air conditioning, and heating systems. Maintain emergency power units when requested * Operate service, boom, bucket trucks, and cranes. Tow oil, gas, and vacuum trailers, and other mobile equipment used in the maintenance, overhaul, and operation of plants, substations, and switchyards * Perform switching orders for System (Main Grid Ops) or Region Dispatchers, for the transmission and distribution group or the substation group to effect getting clearances and assurances to work on or maintain substation apparatus * Prepare reports and maintain records, such as work orders - notifications, mileage, timesheets, weekly activity, overhaul records and reports, inspections, equipment maintenance records. * Use high voltage proximity meters, high voltage amprobes, cordless phasing sets or power factor sets. Open or close cutout devices for station service transformers or similar equipment. Lift or apply hot tips as necessary to accomplish this work on station service transformers or station cap banks. * Physical requirements may include working in confined spaces and in elevated work areas such as heights from ladders, structures, scaffolds, buckets and boom trucks. Requirements * High School Diploma, GED, or proof of equivalent. * Must have or be able to obtain a Class A CDL. * Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. * Must be able to work at heights. * Must be able to work inside substation apparatus. * Must have completed electrical theory training, which includes AC & DC circuit power, motors and industrial controls. * Proof of electrical theory training with a "B" or better grade through an accredited institution that offers classes such as the following at SLCC: (AC and DC Essentials (EET-1140) Power and Motors (EET-2120) Industrial Controls (EET -2170) Courses taken at other institutions will be mutually approved on a case by case basis. General Purpose As the Property Transaction Agent, you'll perform fee property transactions (acquisitions, dispositions and exchanges) as well as easement dispositions for company. Ensure that permitting and land use requirements are met for properties acquired. Responsibilities * Independently perform moderately complex property transactions involving raw land, commercial, industrial, and other property, including purchase and sale of property, purchase and sale of easements. * Perform company-related property permitting through projects and interactions with internal and external customers and jurisdictions, with or without aid of a consultant. * Manage a number of transactions. * Manage and/or engage in projects that involve inter-disciplinary teams across internal business units. * Perform project tracking, reporting, including regulatory submissions, data requests and fiscal reporting. * Review and develop documents such as purchase and sale agreements, easements, leases, rights of entry and other associated documents. * Participate in public interactions and communication through formal and informal presentations to various groups, representing department and company. * Ensure that property transactions are performed and documented per company and department policies and meet corporate governance and other reporting requirements. Requirements * Bachelor's Degree in Business or a related field; or the equivalent combination of education and experience. * A minimum of three years' experience performing commercial real estate transactions. * Ability to effectively manage a portfolio of varied tasks/projects, while also focusing on detail. * Communication and interpersonal skills involving the ability to establish and maintain relationships with internal and external parties. * Ability to work with all organizational levels to influence actions and negotiate outcomes. * Ability to listen and communicate effectively through oral and written means. * Proficient with the use of personal computers to gather, analyze and summarize data. * Ability to read and evaluate property-related legal descriptions, documents, and maps. General Purpose As the Apprentice Meterman, you'll be committed to learning and understanding the meterman craft. You'll posess skills in having great attention to details, excellent customer service, and a sincere dedication to safety. You'll assist the Journeyman Meterman in accurately recording the flow of power across the company system and to our customers through programming, installing, removing, repairing, maintaining, wiring, building, testing, calibrating, and troubleshooting energized and de-energized meters, metering, and associated communication equipment and interfaces. Responsibilities • The safe operation of tools, test equipment, and vehicles • Installing all types of meters and metering devices • Testing and maintaining various types and sizes of meters, instruments, associated equipment, and wiring • Performing Load and voltage surveys • Testing and repairing Instrument transformer. • Programming and testing all meters. Direct Connect and Instrument Rated. Requirements A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent. A current and valid Driver's License with a safe driving record. Verification of completing the Electrical Aptitude Test/NJATC (National Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee) with a score of 5 or better. Training will only take place in American Fork. You must be willing to permanentley relocate based on the needs of the business after passing the 3-year meterman apprenticeship. (Any location within Rocky Mountain Power service territory Local 57 - Western Wyoming, Eastern Idaho, and Utah) Must pass a fitness for duty physical exam. Physical Requirements May include working in confined spaces and in elevated work areas such as heights from ladders, towers, structures, roofs, scaffolds, buckets etc., on construction sites, near moving mechanical parts, in the proximity of fumes, dust, noise, water, working in close proximity to cables and conductors energized at 600 volts or higher. Must follow safety rules and practices and encourage safe work behaviors. Must be able to currently lift and drag equipment weighing 50 lbs. or more in a safe manner. Must be able to pass a physical, fit-for-duty exam. Preferences Previous electrical experience.
