Why AGI, Inc.
We're a stealth team of elite founders and AI researchers, with backgrounds spanning Stanford, OpenAI, and DeepMind. We're industry leaders in mobile and computer-use agents, bringing these capabilities to consumer scale.
Grounded in years of agent research, our AI is designed with trustworthiness and reliability as core pillars, not afterthoughts.
We are supported by tier-1 investors who funded the first generation of AI giants; now they're backing us to build the next:
everyday AGI. (Watch the
demo
)
If you see possibility where others see limits, read on.
About the Role
You'll be one of the very first engineers shaping our core product and reimagining how people integrate AI companions into their day-to-day workflows.
Expect to:
Think from zero. Whiteboard the concept in the morning and demo it by evening.
Own the stack. Backend, frontend, model orchestration, observability, whatever removes friction between idea and shipped product.
Bridge research and delight. Sit beside scientists, translate breakthroughs into polished consumer experiences, and push them to production in days, not quarters.
Define the bar. Establish the engineering, design, and reliability standards that every future hire will follow.
Move markets. Your features won't live in a sandbox, they'll redefine how everyday people trust and collaborate with AI.
You'll be leading initiatives from conceptual design to production deployment, iterating quickly and putting real user feedback at the heart of product decisions.
Key Responsibilities
Craft end-to-end experiences: Design, code, and ship full-stack features, Python, TypeScript, Postgres, GPU infra, whatever it takes.
Design MCP schemas: Create flexible, extensible JSON-based models that represent property context, room types, policies, branding, and more.
Build internal and partner-facing APIs: Develop secure, scalable APIs that ingest, structure, and serve context to downstream AI agents.
Engineer for trust: Single-digit-ms paths, sandboxed execution, telemetry everywhere, four nines or it's broken.
Invent agentic primitives: APIs, eval harnesses, and safety guardrails that let wild research ship to millions.
Listen, iterate, delight: Sit with users, absorb the pain, and turn feedback into joy fast.
You Bring
5+ years building and operating production backend systems in fast-paced, product-driven teams; you've owned production SLAs and on-call for systems that matter.
Deep fundamentals in distributed systems (idempotency, exactly-/at-least-once, retries/backoff, queues, caching, consistency) and API design (REST/gRPC).
Fluency with building backends in Python, TypeScript/Node.js; write code that is observable, testable, and easy to extend.
Datastores: Postgres/MySQL schema design, indexing/transactions, plus Redis/Kafka (or similar) where it fits.
API integrations at scale: robust abstractions, retries/backoff, rate-limit handling, and data normalization
Working knowledge of LLM pipelines (embeddings, retrieval/vector stores, context windows) and tools like LangChain/OpenAI APIs.
Cloud & reliability: Docker/K8s, CI/CD, observability (metrics/logs/tracing), performance profiling, and basic security hardening.
Our Culture
🏢 All in, in person. Work moves faster face-to-face.
🚀 Ship by default. Novel and polished can coexist, speed is the feature.
🤝 One band, one sound. Radical candor, zero politics, help each other win.
