ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Responsible for safe operation of his workplace within the shift
• Follows safe performance of all jobs of their areas within the shift
• Ensures in-time safety issues communication to the shift manager/ packaging lead
• Is authorized to stop any works in the factory if they may cause risk or hazard to people, plant, and product safety
• Responsible for hygiene and environment conditions of their area within the shift
• Complies with hygiene norms, procedures, and instructions implementation within the factory.
• Communicates issues in case of product contamination to the packaging lead/shift manager
• Responsible for product quality and technological standards conformity of their area during the shift
• Executes all quality controls and reporting necessary to his workplace.
• Ensures in-time communication of quality problems and their possible solutions to the packaging lead/ shift manager
• Collaborates with quality in product disposition in case of deviation.
• Responsible to be at the assigned workplace on time every shift. Responsible of operating his area of responsibility and keeping a clean safe environment.
• Communicates with team members to assure smooth startups, process performance, product changeovers, shift handover.
• Contributes to the creation and functioning of the united and well-trained shift team.
• Responsible for conducting him/herself with morals and ethics.
• Create the atmosphere of trust, teamwork, mutual respect
• Start, stop, run at standard rates Packaging equipment.
• Maintain and clean the packaging area.
• Support Maintenance during planned and unplanned downtimes. Build product according to specification, troubleshoot issues when they arise and escalate if necessary.

The operator II will be trained on multiple pieces of equipment in the Packaging department and is capable of assuming responsibility for the operational flow.

From your EXPERTISE to ours

Key responsibilities for this position include:

· This person will operate multiple machines throughout the work day.

· Ensures their machine is operating smoothly and effectively at start up, prior to production, as well as throughout the work day. Responsible for inspecting and maintaining their machine.

· Employee will also be in control of daily paperwork, filling it out properly, and making comments of any non-compliance results.

· Regulates machine flow in the packaging process to ensure continuous supply of finished product.

· Ensures the package meets quality standards.

· Ensures the product meets Sorrento Lactalis, Inc. Standards. Follows Food Safety Management System guidelines.

Qualified applicants will contribute the following:

Education/Experience:

· High School Diploma/General Education Degree (GED) is preferred.

Experience:

· 2-3 years of experience in packaging or related field preferred

Skills/Abilities:

+ Basic computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, etc. and basic mathematic skills

Pay:

+ Starting hourly rate $20.15

+ After successful 90 days of employment hourly rate goes up to $20.75

• The Salary for this position is $19.76 per hour (Max Pay rate).

Required Skills / Qualifications:

• At least a High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Fill/Pack Operator.

• FDA Regulated Facility.
• Production/Manufacturing environment.

Additional Information:

• Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check and a drug screen.
• Position needs the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including safety glasses, gloves, lab coats and safety shoes.
• PPE will be provided by client.
• Individuals are needed to sit or stand for long periods of time.
• Position needed lifting materials up to 50 lbs.
• Based on business needs individuals are needed to work overtime or will be asked to modify their work hours.
