ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Responsible for safe operation of his workplace within the shift
  • Follows safe performance of all jobs of their areas within the shift
  • Ensures in-time safety issues communication to the shift manager/ packaging lead
  • Is authorized to stop any works in the factory if they may cause risk or hazard to people, plant, and product safety

The operator II will be trained on multiple pieces of equipment in the Packaging department and is capable of assuming responsibility for the operational flow.

Key responsibilities for this position include:

· This person will operate multiple machines throughout the work day.

· Ensures their machine is operating smoothly and effectively at start up, prior to production, as well as throughout the work day. Responsible for inspecting and maintaining their machine.

· Employee will also be in control of daily paperwork, filling it out properly, and making comments of any non-compliance results.

· Regulates machine flow in the packaging process to ensure continuous supply of finished product.

· Ensures the package meets quality standards.

· Ensures the product meets Sorrento Lactalis, Inc. Standards. Follows Food Safety Management System guidelines.

The ideal candidate will be proactive and dynamic, flexible and receptive to new ideas, down to earth and pragmatic, analytical driver and attentive to detail. He or she will also be capable of working independently in adherence to regulations, of managing stress and remaining calm under pressure.
