WHAT ARE THE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES FOR A PACKAGE DELIVERY DRIVER? Arrive to the delivery station at 08:00 AM, where you'll receive the keys to your delivery vehicle, conduct a pre-trip safety inspection, and attend a daily job briefing where we'll meet together as a team. Lift packages into the delivery van at the start of each route, which requires hand lifting, pushing, pulling, and organizing 150 to 200 packages weighing up to 150 lbs each. Bend, reach above our head, kneel, crouch, and stretch at each delivery stop while lifting and handling packages weighing up to 150 lbs. Walk 8 - 12 miles per day while climbing 20 - 40 flights of stairs when delivering packages to the front door of homes in residential neighborhoods and multi-story apartment complexes. Drive a step van or cutaway delivery van safely for 100 - 250 miles per day, while following all safe driving procedures regarding seat belt usage, speeding, and defensive driving. All delivery vehicles are equipped with a vehicle telematics system and dash camera that monitor safety. Use a handheld smartphone for route navigation, to read customer delivery information, to speak and text message with dispatchers, and to accurately record the delivery status of packages at approximately 140-180 stops per shift. Work outdoors and drive in all-weather conditions and various weather extremes, including hot temperatures, cold temperatures, rain, snow, and high wind. WHAT DO YOU NEED FOR THIS ROLE? About Us The Center at Lincoln is a skilled nursing facility that serves patients needing physical rehabilitation and/or complex nursing care. Our highly qualified, caring staff provides care in a beautiful, hotel-like atmosphere to help our patients achieve strength and functionality. Job Description: The Transport Driver is responsible for safely transporting facility residents to and from appointments, providing quality customer service and helping to set the tone for the level of care residents will receive at The Center. We are looking for a PRN Van Driver Job Duties and Responsibilities: Transport Driver Reviews patient information prior to appointment in order to determine patient needs. Verifies all information with nursing staff as necessary. Implements customer-service standards, resolves problems, and determines & completes patient transportation system improvements. Transport Driver Stays with patient at appointments to provide assistance upon request. Enters orders for appointments and transportation and retrieves/sends diagnostic labs needed for appointment. Determines best route to and from appointments prior to the departing time, along with equipment required to load and unload patient. Transport Driver Keeps equipment operating by establishing and enforcing operating and preventative maintenance rules; arranges for repairs, oil changes, etc. Provides and troubleshoots medical equipment needed for patient transport, including but not limited to oxygen, wheelchairs, gurneys, and IVs. Maintains a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures; complies with legal regulations. Transport new admissions and occasional discharges. Qualifications Education • High school diploma or GED Experience and Specific Requirements • Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license as well as a clean driving record. • Must be able to stand, walk, stoop, and crouch repetitively. • Must be able to push a minimum of 200 pounds for a long distance. • Must be able to lift bulky heavy items up to 100 pounds. • Must be able to speak, read, and write the English language. Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen. Job Type: PRN Pay:$17 - 24 per hour, based on experience
