Reports to the Enterprise Logistics Coordinator or Service Manager The Delivery Drivers role consists of 3 main functions: Enhancing Our Team, Serving Our Customers and Achieving Financial Goals. Each of these functions require different skills and time spent in each area but are equally important parts of being on the Bortnick Team. Enhancing Our Team Reports to supervisor between runs or after the final run, to help as needed. Participates in assigned training, either as participant or trainer of other drivers. Acts friendly and respectfully to all Team Members. Operates trucks owned by the Company and maintains proper licensure and certifications. Performs related other duties, as assigned. Serving Our Customers Follows instructions for pick-up, transport and delivery of equipment, parts and supplies to the customer. Gives basic operating instructions to customer at time of delivery. Assists in routing deliveries and arranging delivery tickets in order, as requested. Keeps accurate records of pick-ups and deliveries and obtains necessary receipts and signatures as requested. Friendly, respectful and helpful to customers during deliveries. Achieving Financial Goals Loads truck safely and efficiently to avoid any damage to merchandise/equipment. Maintains the delivery truck, including servicing as needed, maintaining the gas and oil, and keeping it clean. Reports any known mechanical failure or accident, regardless of size, involving company equipment to supervisor. Collects and securely delivers Receipts of COD orders to the Parts Department.

Responsible for the safe transportation of students to and from our centers. Perform safe daily operation of school bus to transport students to and from centers according to an agency-established route. Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations; driver will be responsible for any fines incurred due to failure to abide by aforementioned laws. Perform daily pre- and post-trip inspections in accordance with state laws. Ensure safety and emergency procedures are followed, including conducting routine evacuation drills. Communicate mechanical problems to the Bussing Manager. Perform daily housekeeping to maintain a clean interior free from clutter and debris. This includes sweeping the floor, throwing away trash left on the bus, and cleaning the windows/windshield and exterior lights. Regularly check the vehicle's fuel level, ensuring the tank is never left below 1/3 tank of fuel. Maintain the confidentiality of our students and families at all times. Ensure student safety at all times. This includes confirming that no body parts or other items should be in aisleways while the bus is in motion. Positively promote safety to students in a kind, courteous, and educational manner. Other duties as assigned Adhere to all CDC policies and procedures as set forth in the policy manual. Qualifications/Requirements: Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent Valid CDL Class B license with S and P Endorsements, which must be carried at all times while operating a bus owned by Child Development Centers, Inc. Must be eligible as an insured motorist on all company motor vehicle policies and coverages Must possess or obtain required state and federal background clearances Driver must carry a copy of current PA School Bus Driver Physical Examination Certificate at all times while operating a bus owned by Child Development Centers, Inc.
