Immediately notifies emergency staff and dispatcher if skilled assistance is required. • Completes reports at the end of a shift. • Immediately reports traffic accidents to dispatcher, requesting police or ambulance service as needed. Assists injured persons from first-aid kit until these services arrive. Completes company accident reports. • Checks all equipment for future readiness, maintains van in operable condition, ensures van cleanliness and orderliness of equipment and supplies, decontaminates vehicle interior after each transport. • Completes a thorough vehicle maintenance inspection prior to vehicle operation. • Maintains positive behaviors, attitudes and commitments to interpersonal service in regard to customer, visitors, and coworkers. • Performs related duties as assigned by management, supervisor, or dispatch. REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES: • Possession of the patience and tact necessary for contacts with patients, both adult and children, and their caregivers. • Must be reliable and capable of working independently and remaining calm in case of emergency.
