Reporting to the Mill Supervisor, the Coil Operator ensures production goals are met with a focus on uptime, product quality, and overall mill performance. Shift: 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM Pay: $25.24 per hour plus Production Incentive Bonus What You'll Do Receives verbal and/or written instructions from team leader or mill manager. Works from rolling schedules and SAP to ensure proper gauge, grade, and slit width of material is processed. Uses bar code readers to scan consumed coils. Operates coil cart to load slit coils onto mandrels. Operates controls for uncoiler, leveler, and butt welder. Sets up butt welder for each gauge of material and welds coil ends together. Identifies butt welds, gauge changes, and coil numbers using paint. Keeps accumulator loaded with sufficient steel to run the mill continuously. Performs micrometer checks on gauge and records findings. Assists in mill changeovers as needed. Completes all operating and quality reports accurately. The Soil Production employee performs tasks involved in receiving and preparation of soiled healthcare linens for the laundering process. The Soil Production employee follows standard work methods and practices safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible. Job DescriptionSalary: Negotiable--DOE TRANSLOADER / RAIL DEPOT HANDLER NEEDED IN LOWELL, ARKANSAS ** River Valley Materials, part of the privately-owned Kemp Quarries, Inc. group of companies, is a leading producer and supplier of construction aggregates, consisting primarily of crushed stone, sand and gravel spanning NE Oklahoma, SW Missouri, and NW Arkansas. About the Position The primary function of the RAIL DEPOT HANDLER position may include, but is not limited to: 1) working and preforming daily maintenance on material transfer equipment including bins, chutes and conveyors, 2) loading of stockpiled product into railcars and customer trucks and trailers, 3)offloading of product imported by rail cars into onsite stockpiles. Maintenance will include the welding repair of chutes and bins, the lubrication of and replacement of bearings and gearboxes, and the adjusting and replacement of belting, skirtboard and motors. This position requires experience in operating midsize to larger loaders for product loadout. Daily general housekeeping of yard and stockpile areas will be required. This position may also be trained and responsible for the daily offloading of product from rail cars. Summary: Essentra is looking for a 1st Shift Quality Parts Handler who will report to the Molding Shift Supervisor. The Quality Parts Handler duties include working at presses producing a variety of injection molded plastic parts, examining parts for defects or deviations from manufacturing specifications. The hours are 8am to 4pm. Typical Accountabilities: • Work at machine or at a workstation producing a variety of parts. • Prepare to work by studying and understanding instructions, drawings, and parts lists. • Document products on production forms. • Read and understand blueprints and specifications. • Monitor or observe operations to ensure that they meet production standards. • Recommend adjustments to the process. • Inspect, test, or measure products being produced, verifying that products meet documented specifications. • Measure products with rulers, calipers, gauges, or micrometers. • Accept or reject finished parts. • Remove all products and materials that fail to meet specifications. • Discuss inspection results with those responsible for products. • Report inspection and test data. • Maintain a clean and safe work station/ environment, complying with procedures, rules, regulations, and safety guidelines. • Communicate with team member and management, participating in problem-solving, and providing feedback/ recommendations. • Complete Quality training at the appointed time. Qualifications: • High School diploma or GED equivalent • Previous work experience in manufacturing. • Ability to follow a set of specific instructions. • Ability to do repetitive work, stand for long period of time (sometimes 100%), lift up to 50 pounds on a regular, and perform physically demanding work, such as reaching, standing, walking, pushing, lifting, grasping, twisting, and bending. Specific vision abilities which include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. • Experience using a set of calipers is very helpful. • Mathematical ability which includes addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, conversion of fractions to decimals and vice versa, working with formulas and percentages. • Pay specific attention to detail. • Computer proficiency, experience with Windows-based office applications. • Comply with all company policies and procedures; quality management systems; and environmental, health, and safety regulations.
