SHIFT: 4:30pm-1:00am or 4:00pm-12:30am Monday through Friday. THE ROLE OF A RECYCLING LINE SORTER Under close supervision, sorts a wide variety of reusable waste material for recycling in accordance with established standards and procedures, assuring that contaminated or non-recyclable materials are separated from recyclable materials. Great entry level position for a person with the required knowledge, but no required work experience.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, AND ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
* Sorts mixed recyclable materials by type and from waste materials in compliance with laws, regulations and policies.
* Identifies and distinguishes recyclables (paper, glass, etc.) from non-recyclables (garbage, etc.). Includes sorting through materials on a conveyor to view and recognize type, and opening bags to inspect contents.
* Empties and/or changes sorted materials containers as needed.
* Maintains a safe work area.
* Per company policies and training, looks out for, reports on, and takes appropriate action regarding any hazardous materials in the waste stream.
* Abides by company policies and procedures and state and local regulations.

Overview:
The Warehouse Technician has primary responsibility to ensure the safe and efficient movement of all Champion Petfoods' finished product within the Warehouse at state-of-the-art pet food production facility located in Auburn, Kentucky. This role will report to the Warehouse Supervisor.
You will have the opportunity to:
Receive packaged product/finished goods from the Production department, ensuring it has met established quality assurance standards.
Stock the product in an efficient, orderly, and timely manner.
Operate fork trucks (sit and stand), turret trucks, and electric pallet jacks (riders) in a safe and efficient manner, according to established Company policies and practices.
Load and unload trucks from and to vendors/distributors.
Perform order picking and refill processes to support outbound operations.
Use hand-held scanners, enter correct information for product packaged into the Warehouse Management System.
Ensure pallet license plates accurately display product information.
Develop awareness and understanding of quality assurance standards.
Support and represent Champion Petfoods in community sponsored events.
Perform other duties as assigned.
This role is for you if you have:
High school diploma or GED
Minimum 3 years' forklift experience and/or equivalent warehouse experience
