The Cylinder Prepper-Loader is required to count, examine for defects, and prepare cylinders for filling and load/unload onto trucks. What you will be doing (3rd shift): * Clearly understands and follows ALL Linde plc Safety Policies including but not limited to proper PPE, proper lifting techniques, and local site safety requirements. * Understands basic GMP's and Quality Control concepts and practices. * Count all incoming cylinders. * Load/unload trucks daily. * Pull cylinders and verify lot numbers as required. * Examine returned cylinders for surface defects such as dents, cracks, or burns and transports cylinders to designated work area. Follows Linde plc procedures for safe handling, storing, securing and proper nesting of cylinders. * Ability to recognize and detect test and defective cylinders and properly separate them from production in identified quarantine areas. * Understands and inspects fill manifold for proper operation prior to filling or connecting cylinder. * Understands the need to bring up issues with local management if system is not functioning properly or if there are questions surrounding the operation. * Reviews and documents proper thermometer, gauge and analytical equipment calibrations and ensures all equipment is properly calibrated and within established guidelines for frequency. * Remove all old labels and clean cylinders using approved cleaning solution. * Safely operate a forklift to load and unload trucks and gather stock from the warehouse. * Receive all goods according to standard written procedures, recording all incoming shipments, checking shipments against purchase orders, and verifying contents of shipments against packing slips. * Inspect valves for correct CGA connection and pressure relief device. * Connect cylinders to manifold, opens valves to draw off residual gas and evacuate cylinders. * Inspect cylinder labels to assure they are legible, compliant with current federal requirements and correct for the service intended; replace if damaged or inappropriate * Fill cylinders in accordance with specific guidelines whether by pressure or weight, as appropriate. Weigh cylinders filled with liquid products on platform scale and record weight. * Test cylinders for leaks by brushing or spraying chemical solution around valve. Record all necessary documentation and set a cylinder aside for settled pressure checks. * Operate and safely maintain equipment for pumping or repackaging gases into cylinders. Perform all required pre-fill and post-fill inspections and tests before cylinders are released. * Ensure cylinders are adequately maintained. Cylinders requiring maintenance or repair are removed from service until corrected. * Regularly inspect and maintain pumping apparatus and associated monitoring devices. * Ensure cylinder filling records are accurately maintained and that all required procedures are followed in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations. * Safely operate a forklift and hand truck. * Maintain a neat, clean, and orderly plant appearance. * Perform mathematical calculations as necessary. * Perform other duties as assigned. Hours: M-Th 6:00am - 3:15pm, Fri 6:00am - 12:00pm Starting Pay: $15.50/hour To serve as a materials resource in all phases of the Parts Cage area. Responsibilities/ Principal Duties: • Stock all incoming materials in their proper locations. • Perform scheduled cycle counts and inventories of material. • Pre-Kit parts for SMT scheduled assemblies. • Count reels via x-ray machine or reel counter. • Reconcile Parts. • Tape and reel parts as needed via Tape & Reel machine. • Assist people who need parts or supplies. • Bake parts per quality department instructions. • Performs other duties as assigned. Interpersonal Skills: • Takes responsibility for the quality of one's individual work. • Demonstrates accuracy and neatness in their work. • Co-operative and dependable, highly motivated, and trustworthy. • Respects and works effectively with fellow team members. • Will notify Team leader if team is not following Quality processes. • Will present new ideas and improvements to Team Leader. Education: High School Diploma or GED Experience: Two years experience in a material handling position. Physical/Cognitive Requirements: Work is performed in a climate controlled manufacturing environment with frequent contact with others. Equipment: Knowledge of and skills in the use of counting equipment (counting scales and reel counters) and various component prepping machines. Job Description Position Purpose: Responsible for performing a variety of routine non-hazardous waste tasks in the movement of solids and liquids. Under direct supervision, tasks could include all types of manual labor in cleaning and decontamination operations, vacuum projects and handling, packing, re-packing, unloading and loading containers for processing at site or transportation to appropriate facilities. Primary Duties/Responsibilities: Load and unload various size containers (totes, drums, tankers, trailers. etc.) Construct boxes and/or fiber containers and stacks, labels, and loads containers. Use a variety of tools such as impact wrenches, shovels, jackhammers, etc. Transport waste materials from storage facilities within the facility as directed. Decontaminate and dispose of empty drums and/or containers according to RCRA and disposal guidelines. Assist in completing all necessary paperwork for processing materials to include transportation of materials to and from various locations. Perform general housekeeping duties. Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area. Inspection material handling equipment as directed. Assist in the loading/unloading of non-hazardous waste materials at designated sites utilizing appropriate equipment for which you are appropriately trained. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Education/Experience/Background: High School diploma or General Educational Development (GED) preferred. Prior work experience of 3 to 6 months in the hazardous waste or chemical industry in a related position with proficiency in handling forklifts and a variety of tools preferred. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Ability to communicate through reading and writing. Trained in the use of material handling equipment.
