Graymont is one of the largest lime and limestone producers in North America. The Eden Plant is a very well-established operation in Wisconsin with long term commitments for community and environmental stewardship. The Product Handler will assist both the Assistant Operator and Kiln Operator, loading pebble lime railcars and customer trucks. Additionally, the position will be responsible for cleanliness of assigned areas. Duties are usually performed during a 12-hour rotating shifts. The swing shift is a 2-2-3 rotation; work 2, off 2, work 3, off 2, work 2, off 3 and repeats itself. Every time you come back to work you switch shifts between days and night. It adds up to working every other weekend and once a month you have a long weekend off, starting at 6am Friday until Tuesday 6am. The plant runs 24/7/365 and if your schedule falls on the holidays you are expected to work the holiday unless you have approved time off. Pay rate $17.00 per hour Position works as part of a team with other co-workers in soiled linen sorting and washroom area. Position is responsible for the sorting of health care type linen into categories and load sizes as designated by management. Operator will rotate from position to position (cart dumping, soiled linen sorting, sling loading) as scheduled by manager or supervisor. JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1) Move soiled linen carts from loading dock area when and as required 2) Move loaded carts of soiled linen into cart dumping position 3) Operate cart dumper whereby soiled linen is evenly distributed on soiled linen belt 4) Sort soiled linen into classifications established by management 5) Make up soiled linen sling loads in sizes and quantities established by management 6) Segregate sorted soiled linen on monorail system as designated by management 7) Keep work area clean and tidy throughout the workday; At end of workday all team members shall be responsible for assisting in the cleanup of work area. 8) Immediately report all hazardous machinery and system conditions to supervisor or manager 9) Understand, practice and abide by all policies and procedures established by the hospital 10) Be flexible in attitude to be reassigned to other departmental positions when and as required by management. 11) All other duties as assigned POSITION SPECIFICATIONS: EDUCATION Minimum of High School education with a diploma and/or GED equivalent. Must be able to read, write and comprehend all written memos, directives, policies, procedures, forms and charts used by this department. WORKING CONDITIONS Soiled linen coming from various hospital area settings are considered to have some risks due to the contaminated condition of the linen. Employees will be required to wear a protective barrier gown and face mask while in the workplace. Gown and mask will be removed when leaving the restricted soiled linen area. PHYSICAL DEMAND Operators assigned to this area shall have the physical strength to push/pull carts of soiled linen having a weighted capacity of approximately 300-450 pounds. Operator will be required to roll cart (weighing approximately 100 pounds) to a cart wash area for cleaning. Soiled sorting will require that operator regularly lift and open 35-40 pound bags of soiled linen.

REPORTS TO: Operations Manager MISSION: The Truck Loader is responsible for facilitating and assisting all operations involving loading materials on trucks for delivery. This responsibility includes order fulfillment, load inspection, material counts, inventory control, and general customer service. Safe and efficient forklift operation is essential to the position. Requirements KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Ensures that all delivered orders are loaded on time, accurately, and in full with the appropriate protection against the weather. All orders must be handled with care to eliminate damage to the product. All orders must be tagged and banded appropriately. Millwork items should be shrink-wrapped. Failure to do so will impact the employee's monthly bonus. Materials should be loaded on trucks in the most efficient manner possible, so they are not damaged under the weight of other materials or by strapping. Truck weight and safety requirements must be satisfied, and the load distribution should be considered. First loads should be loaded so that trucks can leave by 7am unless otherwise approved by management. Assists customers and coworkers by helping locate and load orders for pick up or delivery, checking in returns, checking in transfers, and answering general questions. All paperwork corresponding to orders, transfers, and credits must be turned in daily to your manager. Drivers and customers must have the appropriate paperwork before they are loaded or unloaded. Pictures should be taken and loaded into BisTrack for received transfers and when BCI orders are loaded. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the staging yard. All stock and special-order items are to be tagged and in their correct place. Stock should always be stored properly, and material should be kept out of the weather when damage results from not doing so. Overstock and credits should be put away in a timely manner. Trash should be swept up and trash cans emptied. Cull items should be taken out of stock quickly and placed in the auction pile. Inventory discrepancies and shortages should be reported to management immediately. Communicates via phone and radio with management, sales staff, yard staff, drivers, and customers as required to ensure accurate and timely processing of all operations. Notifies the appropriate team members when back orders, delays, damaged products, shipping errors, or picking errors occur to ensure the proper reorders and handling occurs. Adheres to all general and safety guidelines and reports any issues to management immediately. Report any equipment failures and maintenance needs to your manager. Maintain a positive relationship with all employees, customers, vendors, and delivery personnel. Maintain a professional dress code with a Talbert logo on the shirt. Complete special projects at the direction of your manager.
