Forklift Operators are critical to our success at FritoLay! Our Forklift Operators are responsible for a variety of typical warehouse duties, including handling material and operating a forklift to move product around a warehouse. Although you will start out as a Forklift Operator for FritoLay, we are investing in helping you grow with us. This job can open the door to career opportunities with us or our parent company, PepsiCo. In this role, here are some of the frequent tasks you will be doing:
Safely operate a forklift after training and certification
Load and unload pallets of product to and from trailer
Safely place and store product in multi-tiered warehouse storage
Pick appropriate cases according to order using required technology
Properly manage warehouse inventory by using handheld scanners and Inventory Control Systems
General housekeeping and specific sanitation tasks as required (e. g. you may be asked to sweep the floor, help clean a trailer, take out the trash, etc. )
We are open 24 hours a day, which means you may not have a typical schedule, and our jobs are physical! If you have never worked in a warehouse environment before, you should understand that you will be on your feet for the entirety of your shift. Here are the minimum qualifications of this job:
You are 18 years of age or older
You will be required to work on weekends, holidays as well as off shift
You can lift 15 to 50 pounds with or without a reasonable accommodation
You can stand and walk for extended periods of time with or without a reasonable accommodation

YOUR ROLE
Are you known for your equipment operation skills and passionate about warehouse logistics and organization? Do you enjoy leading a team and working in a clean and efficient warehouse environment? If so, we have an opportunity that would allow you to execute essential operational processes and contribute to delivering results in a safe and efficient warehouse operation.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
* Install customer software/hardware on POS Server systems.
* Tear down and replace parts in system.
* As the final POC Tech, will ensure the order has all components that are needed.
* Troubleshoot and diagnose hardware/software issues for a wide range of systems.
* Collaborate with technical support team depending on the system and Customer.
* Determine the most cost effective course of repair and update disposition of systems.
* Works with supervisors and trainers to ensure staff are trained to complete appropriate forms or documents when required.
* Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, product code and related characteristics; tends to be more complex or in multiple cells or operations and fully trained.
* Operates hand tools to close or opens bales, build or tear down crates, and other containers or material; packaging can be advanced or non-standard.
* Completes or verifies appropriate forms, documents, labels and other information to ensure the accuracy of inventory, monitor and track material and successful receiving and/or delivery of goods; involves knowledge of several operations or varied goods and services.
* Identifies potential operational or service concerns, notifies appropriate co-workers and assists with resolving.
* Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures and a safe and effective work environment.
* Develops and maintain excellent customer service to internal and external customers at all times, such as working collaboratively, providing timely communications and instruction and assisting with operations as necessary.
* Receives, stores, and distributes material, tools, equipment, and products within assigned area.
* Prepares and assembles orders, picks and counts material, moves and loads materials between operations or trucks; uses labor or manual equipment such as hand truck or pallet jack.
* Performs various warehouse maintenance tasks, including sweeping floors, cleaning docks, staging, packing, racking and related storage areas, proper storing equipment, basic preventative maintenance and related tasks.
* Performs other duties as assigned.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
* Education and Experience: High School Diploma or GED preferred; Five years of warehousing or related logistics experience preferred.
* Credentials: Ability to operate a forklift or become forklift certified, when required.
* Skills: Ability to operate hand and power tools, including hand truck, pallet jack, and related warehouse equipment; Basic proficiency in Internet, web-based and job specific software applications;
* Characteristics: Ability to prioritize and assign work and provide training and guidance to staff; Responds promptly and professionally to customer needs; Ability to perform in a team environment. Ability to read, comprehend and complete basic checklists, forms or other related documents. Ability to identify and resolve potential operational concerns.
