We are currently seeking a Raw Materials Handler - Shear. The Handler is responsible for performing Receiving, Delivery and Inventory daily departmental activities. This position is also responsible for all aspects of assisting the production operations. In all actions, supports Sonaca's Quality Policy, Mission Statement and other Sonaca policies and procedures by supporting our commitment to total customer satisfaction, quality products and services, lean processes, continuous improvement, on-time delivery, safety, teaming, individual accountability and respect for people.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
* Perform Receiving, Delivery and Inventory daily departmental activities
* Perform and operate shear machine to deliver raw material
* Follow all applicable SP's, QAP's, and procedures
* Load/ Unload trucks using fork truck, pallet jack, and/or hand truck as needed and according to all safety regulations
* Unpack crates and boxes, check items for accuracy and damage and document accordingly
* Accurately process all Jobscope system transactions related to Receiving, and bin transferring
* Assist with production operations as needed; includes roll-forming skin panels
* Assist with maintenance Receiving files
* Monitor and revise weekly I50 report
* Assist with production operations as needed
* Perform Lean and 6S functions
* Assist in investigation / determination of the root cause of errors/issues and implementation of corrective action
* Participate in ergonomic exercises
* Other duties as assigned
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCES
* High school diploma or high school equivalency preferred. Candidates that do not have a high school diploma or high school equivalency will be required to take a pre-employment assessment to be considered for the role.
* One to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Must be able to complete all job duties and interact with all employees, customers, vendors, and others in a manner consistent with Sonaca values and principles.
* Ability to be trained in and acquire Sonaca Forklift License, Current Valid Driver's License with no major traffic violations within the previous three years, Excellent Background/ Ability to be issued security clearance for any/all customer delivery sites (includes GAC access badge for on-site delivery).
* Demonstrate working knowledge of Database software; Internet software and Spreadsheet software; Must be able to use Outlook; AS400 a plus.
* Ability to effectively perform various production, material handling, tasks requiring physical strength and dexterity.
* Ability to read and interpret basic work order instructions and other drawings to accurately produce and assemble kits.
* Ability to operate fork trucks, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
* Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment, with the ability and willingness to learn and complete other tasks as needed.
* Excellent organizational skills and the discipline to maintain organizational systems and keep all work areas neat and clean.

Hourly Pay Range: $20-$23 per hour

Summary:
The Material Handler will work in a warehouse, records storage environment sorting, retrieving and filing records on behalf of our customer, the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA). This is a full-time position with a schedule of 7:45 AM-4:15 PM, Monday through Friday. The pay rate is $22.92 per hour with additional Health and Welfare funds to apply to the cost of benefits. Audit folders and non-fulfilled references requests upon batch completion. Sign in completed batches in the appropriate logbook, recording time of completion. Retrieve documents from containers, prepare documents for scanning by removing fasteners and verify order.
