Principle Responsibilities: Provide engineering services to maintenance and operating department personnel as required to resolve maintenance, technical, and equipment reliability issues. Establish and maintain safe work practices and safe work environment for coworkers and employees. Be sure that mill rules are enforced and that company policies are followed. Supervise mill and contract employees as required. Ensure that equipment files and database are maintained properly and understand equipment operation and function as required to determine preventive and predictive maintenance needs. Develop preventive maintenance and predictive maintenance procedures as required to insure equipment availability. Work with peers to effectively maintain equipment to achieve uptime goals as set by the department. Prepare scope and cost estimate for assigned projects. Develop an engineering, procurement and construction strategy for each project. Design and implement approved projects. Monitor and control project scope, schedule and cost. Manage project construction. Coordinate project commissioning and start-up. Communicate project status to operation and maintenance. Provide technical assistance to operations and maintenance to identify and solve routine problems. Other duties assigned by Engineering Manager. Basic Qualifications: BS Degree in Electrical Engineering is required. Excellent organizational skills, including attention to detail and follow up skills. Demonstrated skills in setting priorities and delegating, analytical problem solving, and facilitating in a team environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills required. Must be able to function and contribute within a team environment Must possess a valid driver's license Must be authorized to work in U.S. Preferred Qualifications: Pulp and paper experience.

Be the primary point of contact for ECS organization for a given customer intro project. Oversee ECS's customer intro project from initial sales campaign through implementation, engineering release, build, and ultimately delivery. Maintain the organization's templated work statement & coordinate changes amongst the engineering groups and the scheduling organization. Document lessons learned, revise and/or develop best practice guides for CI team and support peer review meetings Develop and maintain knowledge of ECS's subsystems, their role in customer introductions, and options / features that impact them. The position requires interaction with multiple “internal” engineering disciplines within ECS, as well as, “external” engineering disciplines such as Electrical, Interiors, and occasionally Structures. Work with maintenance/engineering and operations personnel to complete maintenance and capital projects. Provide management and programming support including: necessary programming, training, stocking of spare parts, preventive maintenance checklists, drawing creation, and updates for the maintenance/engineering personnel as needed. Supports the Mills goals for safety, environmental, and other areas of need. Focus on Process Control supervision of hourly union work force, supervision of programming of all mill control systems for daily activities, and capital projects and control system equipment reliability. Manage the control system equipment tracking programs and systems PM programs. Utilize predictive & preventative maintenance programs to identify and correct equipment issues. Input and update equipment information and documentation. Develop equipment manuals for precision inspection and maintenance of the control systems in the mill. Manage assigned work for monthly and annual outages. Assist with MS Project timelines for monthly and annual outages. Plan and execute capital projects for maintenance replacements of control systems equipment. Effectively manage jobs for best result at lowest cost. Look for opportunities to solve issues, reduce cost, and improve planning performance. Solve problems utilizing the mill's RCFA program. Effectively manages contractors for performing jobs. Performs other responsibilities as needed. Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Chemical Engineering or equivalent education and experience required. A minimum of 2-5 years' experience, or the equivalent, in Electrical or Chemical Engineering. Experience using Microsoft Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Project, and AutoCAD.
