About Our Opportunity
We are seeking a Machine Operator for our Louisville manufacturing facility. A Machine Operator will perform various tasks to set up, operate, monitor, troubleshoot and perform preventative maintenance on assigned machines. The Machine Operator will also be responsible for inspecting parts to specifications and make any adjustments or changes necessary to maintain a quality product. Provide detailed feedback about your line, and the issues occurring. Report machine settings on your line daily. Being involved in CIL's (clean inspect & lubrication) each day to keep machines clean and find defective parts. Keep tools in their designated area and keep a clean workspace.
Responsibilities
Operate and maintain a minimum of two forming presses along with two sets of packaging lines.
Troubleshoot problems during operation for both the forming presses and packaging line equipment.
Supply and install all raw material for the forming presses and packaging equipment as needed.
Monitor quality of product as it is discharged from forming machines, such as formation, stack configuration, print quality, delivery to packaging line, etc.
Monitor the quality of the packaged product after passing through the packaging line.
Execute and maintain all WSWD procedures and standards:
Peer to Peer communication-Huddle to discuss status of production line with shift counterparts. Document productivity and losses
Centerlines-Confirm machine settings and complete deviations when setting note to standard.
CIL's-Clean and inspect equipment daily to find and report defects.
Defect Handling-Complete defect tags for any defects found on the equipment.
6S-Maintain workspace organization.
Breakdown Elimination-Tag parts removed and replaced during a breakdown. Place into part morgue bin
Communicate with assigned Packers to ensure continuous production of the correct product at high quality levels with minimal wasted time and materials.
Load paperboard rolls onto machine ensuring its placement is correct.
Assist the Packers in packing product when lines are running efficiently.

Machine Operator
Packaging operator job in Russell Springs, KY
JOB PURPOSE: The Machine Operator is responsible for the operation and minor preventative maintenance of machinery within their assigned area. Responsible for producing a high-quality product, quality, safety and environmental reporting, and production documentation.
AUTHORITY: All employees have the authority to stop operations/production for the following three reasons: 1) a quality defect, 2) an unsafe act, or 3) a health hazard.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
•Efficient operation of machinery such as: oven, injection mold press, trimmers, greasers, bead apply machines, welding machines, bolt machines, etc. to include elimination of pollution
•Inspection of finished product within the work cell
•Packing of final product
•Responsible for quality documentation
•Responsible for documentation of production and environmental records
•Inspects and measures machined work pieces to verify conformance to specifications
•Ability to keep area clean, neat, and organized
•Report situations that may negatively affect the environment or cause pollution.
•Report safety hazards in the workplace promptly
•Report accidents, injuries, incidents, and near-misses promptly
•Responsible for working all hours required to support production needs and customer demands, including mandatory overtime
•Effectively perform any other duties as assigned or deemed necessary and appropriate.
QUALIFICATIONS
•Experience, Competencies and Education
An experienced individual with appropriate industry experience, preferably in the automotive manufacturing field. An energetic, forward-thinking and creative individual with high ethical standards and an appropriate professional image. A well organized and self-directed individual who is a team player. High School Diploma or GED, 10th Grade Math Level, and one to two years related experience preferred.

Ability to effectively communicate any information pertaining to the cell to any level of the organization.
