Position Summary:
We are seeking a Packaging Associate to support packaging development and commercialization for Welch's owned and internal brands. This early-career role provides hands-on experience in packaging systems, lab testing, and project support. The Packaging Associate will work closely with senior engineers and managers to ensure packaging solutions meet quality, cost, and consumer needs while supporting continuous improvement of our packaging capabilities.

Responsibilities
* Perform clinical / commercial product manufacturing for LNP therapies according to cGMP standards and SOPs including Lipid and RNA Prep, T-Mix, and TFF operations
* Perform aseptic vial filling, visual inspection, cryopreservation, process reagent formulation, and material kitting.
* Transfer raw material inside cleanroom suite using sanitizing reagents or equipment.
* Participates in technology transfer from Process Development to the Manufacturing group.
* Assist in the life cycle development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for manufacturing in collaboration with PD / MSAT and Quality Systems groups.
* Ensures all materials and equipment are identified and available in time for manufacturing operations.
* Execute standard work per manufacturing schedule

Minimum Qualifications

This role is essential to ensuring the successful operation of all packaging processes, including canning and kegging. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrate strong teamwork, and possess the ability to work independently as required. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, physical stamina, and a commitment to safety and quality.
Essential Functions and Duties:
Learn and operate all equipment on the canning, keg racking, and variety pack lines.
Perform the deep cleaning and general maintenance of all packaging equipment.
Execute routine daily maintenance to keep machinery running efficiently.
Monitor product and packaging quality to ensure standards are met.
Maintain accurate packaging logs and reports to support operational transparency.
Track quality issues and propose solutions during weekly department meetings.
Identify and resolve basic mechanical problems with packaging equipment.
Recommend and assist with revisions to SOPs as needed.
Safely use and handle chemical and sanitation products.
Follow all company policies related to safety, attendance, and procedures outlined in the employee handbook.
Operate powered industrial vehicles (e.g., forklifts) safely and with proper certifications.
Participate in packagingoperations as part of a 4-5 person team or independently, as needed.
Maintain a positive, professional demeanor in line with our company culture.
Help with various capital projects, building management tasks, and other projects during downtime.
Keep all workspaces clean, organized, and safe to ensure smooth operations.
Perform other duties and tasks as assigned.
Job Requirements:
1 year of brewery packaging or equivalent manufacturing experience (preferred but not required).
Machine operation or other manufacturing experience.
Ability to perform repetitive tasks efficiently with a positive attitude.
Strong problem-solving and basic mechanical troubleshooting skills.
Good written and verbal communication abilities.
Ability to lift and move up to 75 lbs repeatedly throughout the day.
Ability to stand for long periods (10+ hours) and work in non-climate-controlled environments.
Comfortable working under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work independently and within a team with minimal supervision.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Forklift experience or certification is a plus.
Reliable transportation and availability to work long or flexible hours as needed.

•Clean machine and parts between runs (one to several times per shift). Confined space entry may be required (machine specific).
•Material handling of product and machine parts (load, unload, pack, and transport) using carts, pallet jacks or forklift/fork truck. Some heavy lifting is required.
•Move 55-gallon drums and using barrel carts or pallet jacks.
•Operating and driving a Forklift/Fork truck.
OTHER DUTIES
•Operate and setup machines that mix chemicals, apply coatings
