KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Active member of a production team (Space Saver, Klondike, Gram) and supports the team culture of the Covington Plant through participation and leadership in LEAN PROCESS- Total Productive Maintenance (TMP).
Production Line set up including auxiliary equipment. Assemble necessary ingredients, clean and sanitize production area, and set and maintain machine to formula specifications.
Responsible for Clean in Place/Clean out of Place (CIP/COP) functions to maintain a sanitary work environment
Comply with all Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and quality procedures, including all Statistical Process Control (SPC) functions. Follow established procedures for monitoring product specifications such as product weight, product size, machine output, wrap, code dates, product quality etc. Keep areas clean, organized and dry.
Responsible for the integrity of handling and labeling floor Rework
Monitor equipment for abnormalities, solving minor problems without assistance and eliminating potential threats to production. Communicate effectively with Team members, including maintenance personnel regarding recurring problems and needs for repair. Take part in PM's and all AM activities. Follow lubrication programs and maintain lube log.
Oversee all operations at workstations, including personnel assigned to your workstation.
Plays an active role in TPM including, the creation and updating of production documentation, Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions. Will create and maintain TPM standards, the writing of One Point Lessons, and participation in Kaizen events.

Operate & maintain the Smetco Machine for pallet sorting
Direct pallets to proper destinations using automated indexers.
Control station operations - managing buttons, switches & machine functions.
Occasionally manually handle pallets (75-85 lbs.) when needed.
Follow safety procedures and wear the required PPE.
Maintain a clean & organized workspace.
Accurately track sorting & grading in the system.

SURESTAFF is immediately hiring for an Embroidery Machine Operator in Olive Branch, MS. As a Material Handler for SURESTAFF, you will work in a fast-paced distribution environment and be involved in all aspects of warehouse operations. SURESTAFF is invested in their team members! All employees are offered competitive compensation of $15/hour as well as a benefits package including health insurance (medical, dental, and vision). Generous referral bonuses are available upon hire. Available shifts include 2nd shift, Monday through Friday. Overtime is available on a first come, first serve basis.
Embroidery Machine Operator Duties:
- Trimming- Being careful not to damage the logo or garment, trim away all excess material, backing, threads.- Remove solvy (plastic material) from the front of the logo.
- Steam garment to remove excess solving, hoop ring, imperfections, and tighten stitches.
- QC (Associates are required to check the following items from the trim sheet and sign their work.)
- Work order number
- Logo/design
- Customer
- Color coordination notes
- Product number/garment
- Color of garment
- Size of garment.
- Total number of garments
- Position of logo
- Thread colors This position will require candidates to be able to work independently and demonstrate a proactive, problem-solving attitude. Additional responsibilities for the Embroidery Operator:
- Hoop garment
- Identify and load DST file to the embroidery machine.
- Load thread colors
- Double-check all information on trim sheet to make sure logo and garment are correct.
- Apply logo to required location
- Apply shipping labels
- Cover price stickers
- Re-bag order for trim and QC

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Machine Operator to join our production team. The successful candidate will operate and maintain machinery, monitor production processes, and ensure product quality. This role involves interacting with SAP software for inventory management and overseeing various aspects of foam production to meet quality and efficiency standards.
Responsibilities:
Production Operations:
* Interact with SAP computer software to generate inventory tags in the ATS system, ensuring accurate bun verification.
* Accurately estimate shrinkage and flat bun efficiency to maintain inventory tag accuracy.
* Monitor foam block height and air flow during production to ensure proper process control.
* Operate automated equipment, including cutoff saws, conveyors, airlocks, and downstream systems.
Quality Assurance:
* Observe foam production and promptly correct or report defects.
* Label foam accurately, cut and label samples as required, and record all necessary information.
* Perform daily bun room walk-throughs, assess prior day's pours, and report findings to the supervisor.
* Respond to bun cutting issues and provide recommendations and feedback to improve processes.
Equipment Maintenance and Operation:
* Remove waste film after pouring and clean excess foam or materials from machines or floor surfaces.
* Operate the 200-foot bun room crane when required.
* Operate the slurry system for trial and production pours.
* Monitor and maintain the automated systems to ensure efficient operation.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
* High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training is a plus.
* 3+ years of experience as a machine operator or in a related production environment.
Skills and Competencies:
* Proficiency in using SAP software or similar inventory management systems.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to identify and address production defects.
* Familiarity with foam production processes and automated machinery.
