Your main responsibilities as a Production Technician:
Using general application of principles, support activities to ensure GMP readiness for clinical manufacturing, including but not limited to equipment procurement, installation and qualification, facility qualification, and technology transfer.
Perform operational tasks within a cleanroom environment in a manner consistent with safety policies, quality systems, and cGMP requirements.
Assist in developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and other documents for manufacturing processes.
Set up manufacturing areas and equipment, including complex automated cell processing equipment.
Follow all cleaning and gowning procedures for the facility.
What we are looking for in a Production Technician:
Minimum of five (5) years of experience with a High School Diploma or a BS/BA in a relevant science or engineering discipline.
Understanding of cGMP process and knowledge of CMC regulatory framework for biologics.
Knowledge of aseptic techniques for primary human cell cultures and GMP manufacturing and supporting tech transfer and GMP clinical/commercial manufacturing operations.

Job Summary:

Job Description
To produce boxed and bagged kits of industrial fasteners by hand and in large volumes to accurate customer specifications. Selecting the correct package sizes and adding customer labeling. Repetitive workload in large volumes, some heavy lifting and standing for long periods, collating kits and packets, making up boxes, and packaging up pallets of product for delivery.

Essential Functions of the Role
Main Job Overview may include:
Keeping the work area clear of product/packaging items not required to make the current kit in production
Assembling kits by hand in line with customer demand and ITP needs, or as directed by the packaging lead
Selecting the correct product components to assemble kits accurately (kits are required to be 100% correct in every way)
Counting and/or measuring the correct number of each part required for each kit by hand or by use of scales
Creating the number of kits required for each order
Assembling kits safely, accurately, and productively in a fast-paced environment that requires constant manual kit production
Creating kits in line with the productivity level and output expected of that particular kit
Double-checking kits are correct with departmental QC processes and their own double-checking methods
Creating, selecting, and applying the correct labels to each kit for kit identification
Selection and use of the correct box size/bag size/skin pack (or any other options taken by the customer) for each kit
Forming boxes and securing with staples to create maximum kit containment and sturdiness
Seal bags and skin packs fully once packed to avoid spillage and kit containment
Create skin pack kits in line with the design intended for each kit to create uniformity
Meet productivity levels as set by the packaging supervisors or the packaging manager
Working on kits independently end-to-end or as part of a team effort on particular kits, where you may just repetitively carry out one element of the process, such as making boxes / using the sealer or stapler / contributing 6 nuts / etc.
Achieve weekly/daily/monthly/annual sales targets and goals individually or as a team, as set by your manager
In-person communications with the department's employees, the department manager, and other ITP Brea employees
