What You'll Do
Load, fixture, and secure sheet metal and plastic materials on our CNC router and laser cutter.
Operate a CNC press brake to bend and form sheet metal parts per drawings and bend programs.

Set up, change, and maintain basic tooling, dies, and fixtures.

Job Scope
The Production Operator Trainee will train under qualified operators to learn and perform all tasks necessary for the safe and efficient operation of the Houston Port TEROL production facility. The role focuses on developing proficiency in operating, monitoring, and maintaining process equipment while adhering to all Operational and EH&S procedures.
In summary, as the Production Operator Trainee, you will:
Perform outside operating duties including startup, shutdown, and operation of process equipment for producing quality, on-spec products.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of unit operations, equipment, and operating methods.
Conduct routine rounds, check and adjust equipment, draw samples, and make operating adjustments based on lab analysis.
Complete reports, charts, operating data, work orders, and safe work permits.
Maintain proper housekeeping to ensure a clean and orderly work area.
Monitor safe handling, storage, identification, and removal of waste streams.
Complete all required training assignments.

Load part, sequence each tool, enter offset adjustment data, and continue trails (as required) to produce piece meeting drawing specifications.
Inspect parts periodically in accordance with established frequency, for conformance to quality and engineering specifications, making offsets (as required) to compensate for tool wear.
Indicate work to detect and eliminate run out.
Tolerances are very strict and involve a demand for squareness, concentricity, and parallelism.
Detect and report faulty operations, defective material, and equipment, drawing discrepancies, and other unusual conditions to the proper supervisor.
Maintain workplace in neat and orderly condition.
Qualifications/Requirements
GED or High School Diploma
1 - 2 years Manufacturing Experience
