Perform set-up, run and make required machine adjustments independently. Write and edit complex EDM programs without supervision. Rochester Midland Corporation is seeking a 1st shift Machine Operator for their Ogden, NY facility. The Machine Operator will be responsible for performing various tasks to set up, operate, monitor, and troubleshoot all equipment related to filling various package sizes such as gallons, ½ gallons, quarts, etc. The Machine Operator sets up and operates the machines in accordance with established procedures and guidelines. Adjusts machines to complete tasks accurately and according to quality specifications in a timely fashion. The Machine Operator also does changeovers on the equipment to switch from one package size to another. Making sure all people on the line are working together, following proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and double-checking caps, lot numbers, BOM (Bill of Materials), etc. May be required to fill large package sizes (tote, Barrel, pails, etc.) via use of pump and filling wand, requiring the use of scales and volume gauges as necessary. Adheres to all safety and PPE requirements. Maintains high quality standards, as required, through regular quality checks. Maintains work area in accordance with established housekeeping procedures and requirements to ensure a safe and clean work environment. Performs such similar, comparable or related duties as required, such as working in other areas as necessary.
