Production OperatorThis position is responsible for daily operations of the production floor; ensuring the shift meets established safety, quality, and production goals in compliance with all applicable legal and food safety requirements. Essential Functions Responsible for daily activities of the production line(s), ensuring product adheres to Niagara's standard of safety, quality, and throughput. Accurately completes applicable quality and production reports hourly. Physical and visual inspection of product is required to prevent non-conforming goods. Correctly reports all quality defects to the appropriate team members and shift leadership. Adheres to the highest standards of company and plant safety programs, guidelines, rules, and regulations. Abides by Niagara's Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Food Safety Standards at all times. Maintains general housekeeping in all areas of production and additional areas assigned by plant leadership. Maintains appropriate level of raw materials as required, to ensure production lines incur minimal downtime. Demonstrates the aptitude and skill to work in all assigned areas of production; troubleshoots minor production line issues and performs relief duties when required. Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of the job. Ability to work 12 hour shifts, day or night, on a rotating 2-2-3 schedule or schedule as dictated by production demand. About this role: A machining operator should be able to diligently follow procedures and meticulously prep material for feeding and extraction in semi-automated machining operations. What You'll Be Doing: * Setting up machines to start a production cycle. * Determining the fixtures, attachments, and tools necessary to complete jobs according to specifications and mount them to machine prior to beginning cutting. * Feeding raw material or parts to semi-automated machines. * Bonding magnetic components in specific orientations to a range of substrates. * Inspecting parts with precision measuring tools. * Inspecting finished products for accuracy and uniformity to ensure product quality and uphold company reputation. * Maintaining machine production logs. * Performing daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance tasks to ensure machine longevity, including but not limited to lubrication, cleaning, as well as coolant and tool replacement. * Maintaining a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. * Other Duties as assigned. We are looking for someone who: * Pays attention to detail. * Is self-motivated. * Possesses a high school diploma or GED equivalent. * Has experience with use of calipers, micrometers, indicators, set up blocks as well as a variety of gauges. * Has a willingness to help and fill in wherever needed. * Is able to provide clear and concise communication across multiple platforms. * Possesses strong analytical, communication and computer skills. Physical Requirements: * Must be able to pass a drug screening, medical physical and, if applicable, visual testing. * Able to move up to 50lbs. * Possesses manual dexterity to put parts or pieces together quickly and accurately. * Can wear PPE. * Comfortable standing for long periods of time, up to and exceeding 60 minutes. * Is capable of making repetitive movements including, but not limited to, sitting, squatting and walking up and down stairs.
