Job Description The position is responsible for performing various duties to ensure the overall safe and proper operation of various machinery in the forming area, maintaining all safety and quality processes, adjusting the machines to optimum settings, obtaining minimal downtime, fewest rejects with efficient output and product switchovers. Essential Job Functions: Ability to set up, operate, monitor, and troubleshoot on assigned machines. Ensuring machine-specific functions, such as configuring the equipment, loading, and operating the machines, and optimizing the machine capability. Oversee the basic maintenance, and they are responsible for the product quality. Set up machines (calibration, cleaning etc.) to start a production cycle and control and adjust machine settings (e.g. speed). Constantly feed raw material (dough and filling mixes) into proper hoppers, and rollers throughout the shift. Continually monitor machine operation to ensure accurate product measurements are maintained. Communicate mechanical and operational issues to the maintenance team as they arise. Maintain standard production rates, low waste and meet Shine requirements. Complete all necessary documentation and reports. Assists in directing and training employees assigned to a specific area, looking out for safety, and adherence to GMPs, and communicates and delegates tasks to team members per Supervisor's instructions. Responsible for the quality and product that is produced within the shift in line with the companies' quality systems, processes, and procedures. Operates machinery, equipment, and tools safely and proficiently according to standards, guidelines, and instructions and assigned machinery speeds.
