This 2nd-shift Production / Manufacturing Operator executes assigned production tasks in accordance with established procedures. The goal is to maintain optimal levels of HSE (Health, Safety, Environment), product quality, service, and cost-efficiency while meeting production targets.
ey Responsibilities
Production & Safety Operations
Operate production assets safely and in compliance with all procedures, guidelines, and good industry practices ensuring safe and efficient production.
Perform daily production tasks, preventative maintenance, process data collection, and administrative duties as per control systems and procedures.
Report any safety, quality, or process-related issues immediately to the Team Leader / Shift Supervisor.
Issue corrective action reports (CAR) or hazard reports when relevant issues are identified regardless of the location or responsible department.
Meeting Production & Quality Targets
Ensure all shift production targets are met, while maintaining required quality standards.
Provide consistent progress updates to the Team Leader / Shift Supervisor.
Participate in shift-team meetings and contribute constructively.
Take part in investigations regarding HSE or quality issues e.g. customer complaints, reject batches, or other quality-related incidents.
Engage in continuous improvement activities and programs (HSE, Quality, ALPS or other initiatives as assigned).
Support color-adjustment activities, where applicable, following agreed procedures and control systems.
Tank Wash / Cleaning / Housekeeping (as assigned)
Clean portable tanks, valves, filters, pumps, and other equipment using appropriate cleaning chemicals, pressure washers, brushes, scrapers, etc.
Operate automated tank-washer machinery when required.
Perform area housekeeping duties, including removal of trash and rags at the end of shift.
Support any other tasks required to complete the production process.
Pre-Kit / Material Coordination / Fill-Off / Batch-Making / Milling (as assigned)
Depending on assignment and training, perform one or more of the following:
Maintain storage of raw materials, intermediates, and finished goods; retrieve materials needed for batch-makers, adjusters, tinters, and fill-off as required.
Operate forklift as needed to move materials (daily inspection and documentation required).
Assist in material delivery to batch-makers, return of leftover materials or empty containers to designated disposal/reconditioning areas, and proper handling of hazardous waste containers (labeling, dating, accumulation area).
Assist fill-off operators in obtaining correct containers; fill approved batches (1 gallon to 5000 gallons) into appropriate shipping containers; measure/ weigh for correct yield; check for leaks; complete batch tickets; label and send containers to shipping.
After fill-off: clean pumps, tanks, filter housing, and hoses; properly label and stage cleaning materials; stencil containers to meet shipment requirements.
Perform batch-making: weigh/measure raw materials per batch tickets, coordinate sample testing, implement QC adjustments as needed, and maintain housekeeping standards.
For milling / grinding operations (if assigned): setup, operate and break down mill; handle media/screens; observe flow/temperature controls; perform lock-out/tag-out procedures; lift metal objects (up to 40 lb, 5 ft height); inspect equipment wear; check grind fineness; adjust color as required.
Be prepared to support other production tasks for which you are trained, as required by production needs.
Decision-Making & Autonomy
Independently operate production equipment and make routine decisions during assigned tasks in accordance with procedures.
Identify and report safety or quality issues without delay.
Manage material handling, fill-off, cleaning, and other tasks as assigned - ensuring compliance with all standards and completing required documentation.
Required Qualifications, Skills & Abilities
Must-have:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Ability to read and comprehend safety instructions, procedures, labels, and batch tickets.
Forklift operation certification / ability to pass forklift test (or willingness to obtain).
Physical strength and stamina: able to lift and handle containers (e.g. 5-gallon pails up to 75 lbs), 60 lb pigment bags, or up to 600 lb drums; stand or walk for long hours; climb stairs while wearing steel-toed footwear.
Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination (arm-hand steadiness).
Near vision able to read labels and details up close.
Ability to operate machinery, measure/weigh materials accurately, and follow safety procedures precisely.
Effective interpersonal skills, teamwork, ability to multitask, balance priorities, and work independently when required.
Comfortable working in heavy manufacturing environments, including exposure to chemical agents; able to work in hot/cold environments or in varying weather conditions.
Preferred:
Prior experience in a paint-manufacturing facility or similar chemical/production environment.
Manufacturing experience involving batch production, fill-off, tank cleaning, or milling operations.
Basic computer literacy (e.g. Microsoft Office) for process data logging or administrative documentation.

Key Duties / Responsibilities
Operate the packaging system monitoring overall performance, efficiency and quality.
Perform equipment start-up, shut-down and preventive maintenance.
Sample and monitor product quality coming off the system, making modifications as needed.
Troubleshoot packaging system performance and quality problems, correcting them and stabilizing performance as they occur.
Replenish materials ongoing as materials are depleted.
Maintains production, efficiency and quality records related to the packaging system operation.
Completes the production process for printed material by operating bindery/packaging equipment.
Supports the manufacture of personal products through a continuous production operation, requiring an understanding of work methods and procedures as well as various binding machines.
Work is typically routine, although some discretion may be allowed. Applies limited knowledge and expertise applicable to specialty for the implementation of predominantly short-term tasks and projects for business needs.

Machine Operator is responsible for working in conjunction with the Maintenance Department to set-up, start-up, and operate rotational molding equipment to safely produce plastic parts of acceptable quality at a standard out-put rate throughout production runs.

Pay rate: $19.40
Responsibilities:
Prepare/load molds and machine with plastic resin for production runs according to order specifications.
Monitor operation of machine for acceptable quality and standard production rates.
Make processing adjustments with supervision to cycle-time, cooling-time, and temperature
Write and maintain accurate production reports for scrap material to deliver to compounding
Engage in mold maintenance for each production run by ensuring the following: clean parting lines and changing filters during each round.
Understand how job function relates to ISO requirements.
Follow all Standard Operating Procedures.
Maintain area per 5S Standards.
Wear all required Personal Protection Equipment.
Perform other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.

Ensure that all required administrative forms associated with the extrusion process are maintained in an accurate and timely manner.
Keep all vacuum, stuffer, and atmospheric vents clean and free of material.
Keep all extruder cooling tanks with adequate level of distilled water and proper additives.
Ensure that your assigned lines are running at the proper rates, temperatures, and percentages as established by engineering or management.
Ensure that all boards are the proper color and length according to the schedule for the day.
Notify the Process Leader, or Supervisor concerning issues that affect the performance or quality of your line.
Monitor the output of your line hourly to verify the quality of your product.
Always maintain safe working habits around the equipment and when moving product or materials in the area.
Demonstrate good teamwork by assisting your co-workers as needed, or as directed by your Process Leader or Supervisor.
Other duties may be assigned.
Additional Responsibilities:
Willing to work overtime, holidays, and weekends as scheduled.
Qualifications
Education/Experience:
High School Diploma or GED
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
User knowledge of the Panel Mate computer control system.
Basic math, reading, and writing skills
Ability to recognize and solution recurring problems.
Previous machinery operator experience in a continuous production environment.
Ability to read, interpret and complete production schedules and reporting forms.
Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
Ability to work 12 hour shifts.
