Packback Leadership

I am the co-founder and Chief Product Officer of Packback. Packback is a different kind of online discussion that empowers students to take an active and autonomous role in their learning through asking open-ended questions. Through the use of AI, Packback is able to provide real-time feedback on question efficacy, writing quality, and automatically moderate discussion communities to support a student-led discussion experience. Prior to Packback, I worked in design in venture capital at Lightbank as a Design Fellow, and at Listen Ventures, where I provided brand, user experience and design consultation to their portfolio companies. Packback has been named on the 2020 INC 5000 list of fastest-growing companies (#352). I was have been named on the 2020 Forbes 30 under 30 list in Education, the 2017 Techweek 100, the 2015 Chicago Inno "50 on Fire" winner, and was a speaker at the 2015 TedxNormal conference.

Nick Currier is a Member at Next Series Club and Co-Founder/ Chief Financial Officer at Packback and is based in Chicago, Illinois. He has worked as Internal Audit Intern at Country Financial, Vice President of Internal Affairs at Alpha Kappa Psi Xi Psi Chapter, and On-Call Branch Office Administrator at Edward Jones. Nick works or has worked as Employee at PwC. He attended Illinois State University between 2008 and 2013.

I am a graduate of UIUC who is passionate about Black culture and driven by the need to create opportunities for marginalized groups. I received my BA in Communication from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a minor in Interdisciplinary African American Studies.

Currently, I work as Content Coordinator and Executive Assistant to Jessica Tenuta, the Chief Product Officer of the ed-tech startup, Packback. I also serve as Editor for the nonprofit group, Women of Chicago, where my work focuses on creating networking resources for women of color in the greater Chicago area.

I am continuously working to create pathways for those who have been left out of the bigger picture. I strive to be an effective storyteller and a victorious opportunity creator.
