Checks to ensure tape guns/taper have sufficient amount of tape. * Visual Inspections of final product packaging for product integrity including, but not limited to bag registration, code dates, prices, bag and cases for proper seals. Removes out of specifications product and communicates packaging problems. * Fills cartons/displays based on packaging specs. Ensures that products are packaged in cases with appropriate corresponding labels; if applicable tapes and seals cartons. * Stacks correct number of cartons/trays on pallets/skids using correct stacking pattern. Notifies appropriate team individual when quality, safety or production problems arise that cannot be resolved by individual. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: . Ensures that adequate vital supplies, i.e., tape, bagging, stamp, labels, cartons (knockdowns), etc., are available to perform duties. Constructs cardboard cartons to contain finished products manufactured, ensuring that proper carton is being utilized. Visually inspects product for Physical foam quality defects through plastic bag. Periodically open random logs of product to perform close visual inspection. Notifies the Production Leader or Production Equipment Operator immediately of any quality defects. Visually inspects Lids product prior to bagging. Preforms fit form and function testing every hour on every running lids mold. Notifies the Production Leader or Production Equipment Operator immediately of any quality defects. Inspects product for Print defects, informs Lead and/or Supervisor of any issues. Will maintain appropriate ink level on running printers as required. Packs product into cartons while ensuring that the correct number of bags of product is packed based on item specifications. Properly seal the carton and apply proper label(s). Move the packed cartons of finished product to the designed stacking area and then place the stacks of cartons together in the correct configuration in preparation for pick-up by the forklift operator. Sets aside defective product for inspection while making certain that no defective product is packed for shipment. Work at an efficient and safe pace packing up to 4 production lines while keeping packing bins at or below 2/3's full. Assures a smooth flow of product through the packing process by responding to bagger jams (bells, buzzers or lights), clearing the product jam and restarting the equipment properly and safely as required to ensure product flow. Follow safety procedures when starting, shutting down, un-jamming or tying the tail on a bagger. Adheres to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), food safety, HACCP and SQF process requirements and sanitation guidelines rectify and or report all non-compliance to Management along with maintaining a high level of personal hygiene.
