Shipper/Packer Place of Performance: Leavenworth, KS is currently seeking candidates to work as Shipper/Packer to support a U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Consolidated Mail Outpatient Pharmacy (CMOP) facility. The CMOP utilizes a combination of automated and manual procedures to prepare and dispense Over the Counter (OTC) and legend drug prescriptions, controlled substance prescriptions, bulk type prescriptions, and medical/surgical products directly by mail to patients. The nature of services includes the operation and support of automated and manual filling equipment, and the preparation of prescription orders for mail-out dispensing. Scanning prescription barcodes. Placing the prescription into the proper sized mailing envelope or box. Placing patients refill documents and return address label into the package. Adding packing material to protect the contents from leakage or damage. Closing and sealing the container. Placing an address label on the package and sending the complete order to the manifesting area. Maintaining stock and a clean work area.
