Assure a quality product is efficiently produced and packed to specification in a safe and proper manner to ensure an on-time delivery to the customer.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Follow and identify proper safety procedures including the use of all safety equipment, personal protective gear and safety glasses
Pack all product in a quality manner, effectively and efficiently meeting all specifications required by the customer
Safely operate stacking equipment to monitor efficiency output on an hourly basis
Ensure protective bag and proper tape are used to set up the box before packing
Guarantee the proper labels are readable and applied correctly to boxes of product before either sending to Alvey case packer or hand stacking on skid
Accurately complete traceability forms, online check sheets, and record production date, enter date into the computer, verify that correct labels are applied to boxes and production information is correct
Use computer HMI to ensure schedule is accurately followed, along with any notes as required per job
Support Machine Operator by identifying/correcting/communicating any problems which require maintenance
Support Machine Operator through all copy/color changes. Ensure QA approves line before starting new jobs
Notify Floater/Supervisor of any material, product, paperwork or equipment issues to ensure timely resolution and not affect customer shipments
Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout shift
Coordinate and communicate with incoming shift regarding production
Follow procedures and guidelines as defined by the Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and the Master Cleaning Schedule
QUALIFICATIONS
Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent
Skills/Abilities:
Ability to effectively function in a broad-based, fast-paced work environment with minimal supervision
Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions in English is a requirement
Must be self-motivated to complete tasks in a timely manner
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
S afety: To maintain proper safety standards according to established Sanitary and Housekeeping Practices (GMP Compliance). Proper use of all safety equipment i.e.: proper use of personal protective gear including hairnets, gloves and safety glasses.

Must be able to visually detect bottle defects as instructed.
Required to read labels on cartons and match them against the label samples provided in the job packets.
Constant bending, twisting and standing are required on the average of 80% of the day.

Will frequently lift up to 35 lbs. Also, will be stooping to pick up bottles that are dropped approximately 4% of the day.
Will move both arms constantly form the machine to the box. Usually picks up 2 to 3 bottles per hand.
Must be able to visually detect bottle defects as instructed.
Required to read labels on cartons and match them against the label samples provided in the job packets.
Constant bending, twisting and standing are required on the average of 80% of the day.

What your day looks like: Under maximum supervision, perform, stage, wrap, box, and weigh all fresh/smoked meats and associated products. Keep record of downtime and reasons for being down. Keep an accurate count of each label packaged.
Performs machine change overs to complete carton package size scheduled.
Utilizes tank control system to actuate tanks and valves for product supply.
Immediately (within five minutes) notifies the shift supervisor when your filler is unable to operate. This excludes product changeovers and other routine reasons for downtime.
Disassembles, clean, rebuild and assemble equipment to meet rebuild requirements. CIP's and sterilizes filler's as required.
Manages carton and fitment supplies for fillers during shift.

· Generate shipping labels using software.
· Ensure correct shipping information is inserted/attached.
· Seal and tag containers, confirming accuracy of orders and signing pick tickets to confirm.
· Move completed orders to shipping area.
· Receive incoming freight and store materials in the appropriate areas.
· Operate a handcart or pallet jack to load/unload trucks and move materials throughout the facility.
· Utilize a continuous improvement mindset and assist in identifying opportunities to improve processes.
· Follow good manufacturing practices and required work safety practices.
· Maintain an organized, clean, sanitary, and safe work area.
