Primary job function consists of electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and mechanical knowledge that allows a comprehensive and thorough understanding of process and electrical controls. Advanced training in industrial electrical and/or experience in an industrial environment is required, including the following:
**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:**
+ Diagnose malfunctioning systems and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
+ Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.
+ Repair or replace wiring and equipment, using hand tools and power tools.
+ Assemble, install, test and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment and fixtures using hand tools and power tools.
+ Perform all major and minor electrical repairs including 480V 3-phase motor installation, motor starter circuit repairs, VFD drives, photo-optic sensing devices, proximity switches, E-Stop circuitry, and ground fault detection in accordance to the guidelines established by Pactiv's "Electrical Safety Program"
+ Read mechanical prints, wiring schematics, and technical data during the installation and repair of equipment.
+ Test electrical system and continuity of circuits using testing devices such as ohmmeters, and voltmeters, to ensure compatibility and safety of the systems. Basic computer skills with Microsoft windows operating environment for internet-based work order system.

**The Job You Will Perform:**
+ Work as a production associate as qualified and needed per business requirements
+ Help drive main plant and offsite blend plant safety and operational improvement efforts
+ Assist in coordination of preventative maintenance processes
+ Provide assistance with plant equipment, facilities and capital projects
+ Accurately prepare and maintain maintenance records and other paperwork as needed
+ Maintain a positive relationship with key stakeholders including customers, manufacturing employees, customer service and sales
+ Effectively communicate with the Production Supervisor and Lead Maintenance Mechanic through active participation in production meetings, project planning meetings, maintenance priority meetings and safety meetings
+ Assist in capital planning process for the business and give input on new equipment purchases and major modifications of existing equipment
+ Support waste and other process improvement initiatives utilizing structured problem solving and employee engagement to yield positive results
+ Direct other team members for project planning and completion at the main plant and offsite plants

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the repair and upkeep of equipment and facility. Activities include both planned, predictive maintenance, and breakdown repair. This role is on 3rd shift, 10PM-6AM, Monday through Friday. Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities: Essential functions may include, but are not limited to:
* Locate and diagnose failures, replace defective components, and perform basic troubleshooting using standard equipment, detailed drawings, diagrams, sketches, specifications, prints, manuals, and verbal and/or written instructions.
* Some knowledge of PLC's, AC drives, DC drives, controllers for speed, temperature, and pressure.
* Calibration of equipment.
* Troubleshoots electrical malfunctions, inspects circuits and wiring for shielding and grounding, and tests electrical equipment for safety and efficiency.
* Works from schematics, drawings, layouts, or other specifications to locate and diagnose trouble in the electrical system or equipment.
* Repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment such as pneumatic, motors, and production machines and equipment.
* Performs a wide variety of functions such as installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment.
* Assists engineers in diagnosing problems and suggesting corrective action.
* Cleans and lubricates parts.
* Properly inspect and maintain shop equipment, in accordance with OSHA regulations.
* Follow a strict preventive maintenance schedule to lessen exposure to downtime related repairs and maintenance.
* Orders replacement parts. Requisition new parts and equipment.
* Report shift metrics to capture the performance and/or areas for improvement. (Breakdown - Downtime) (Part Availability)
* Maintains appropriate maintenance and repair logs.
* Consistently work in a safe manner with regard to self, co-workers, and manufacturing systems.
Knowledge, Understanding, & Formal Training in:
