Position Overview: The finisher would be responsible for trimming excess material from the plastic molds once it is through the heating process. FUNCTION:To ensure that parts are finished and conforming to specifications through cleaning, deburring, polishing or grinding using hand tools and /or a tumbler deburr unit.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Scrapes or rubs part with a file, a wire brush or a buffing cloth. Loads and unloads a tumbler deburr unit. Deburrs or polishes parts. Cleans interior surfaces of holes. Changes tools on powered equipment. Applies abrasive compound, wax or other dressing to facilitate cleaning or polishing operation. Uses a flex-arm tap devise as well as hand tap holes when required. DESIRABLE KNOWLEDGE/EDUCATION High school diploma or GED required. Ability to drive a forklift. DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE/SKILL Experience in finishing, deburring, polishing or a similar trade. Able to read blueprints and travelers.
