We are seeking a Dedicated and Collaborative Obesity MedicinePhysician to join our innovative, multidisciplinary weight management team. This new role is designed for an ABOM-certified obesity medicinephysician with a strong interest in teaching and supporting Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) in providing high-quality patient care. The physician will provide direct clinical services and structured supervision for up to three APPs, helping to enhance the consistency, safety, and effectiveness of patient care across the team.
Core Responsibilities:
Provide direct patient care in a clinical setting, focusing on evidence-based obesity treatment and chronic weight management. The physician will collaborate with APP colleagues to co-manage a shared panel and not have their own primary patient panel.
Review charts and conduct return visits for APP patients every third visit to ensure quality and continuity of care.
Provide treatment planning and medical management support for complex cases or escalated concerns.
Prescribe non-controlled obesity medications for patients under both direct care and in coordination with APPs.
Conduct weekly 30 minute collaborative meetings and 30 min asynchronous communication time with each assigned APP to review cases, address clinical challenges, and provide ongoing mentorship.
Ensure clinical documentation, protocols, and treatment pathways are followed consistently within the team.
Assist in the professional development of APPs by fostering clinical growth, offering feedback, and supporting continuing education.
Participate in team-based care initiatives and contribute to a culture of collaboration and high-quality care.
Attend relevant departmental meetings and contribute to quality improvement efforts within the obesity medicine program.
We seek applicants who:
Have an MD or DO degree, are board certified and diplomates of the American Board of Obesity Medicine (ABOM)
Minimum of 5 years as an attending physician in primary specialty
Are licensed to practice and prescribe legally, in one or more of the following states: CA, IL, TX, MA, NY, or NJ and are or have been credentialed with insurance payers. Strong preference for multiple state licenses!

Job Description
The Physician Coding Educator provides education in coding and billing compliance to physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, and clinical service auxiliary providers to improve the workflow and promote overall clinical documentation improvement. Reviews and analyzes evaluation and management coding and other billing trend profiles to identify patterns that may provide clues requiring focus for further analysis, support, and/or education.
Reviews encounter forms, coding forms, or billing tool information at least annually, and recommends changes to codes and encounter form layout as necessary.

Position Summary
The Physician Coach - GME Behavioral Health Faculty role serves as a key member of the Adena GME team, supporting our mission through resident education, wellness initiatives, and faculty development. This role focuses on promoting resident and faculty well-being, advancing behavioral health education, and cultivating a positive learning environment that encourages both professional and personal growth.
Reporting directly to the Designated Institutional Official in a matrixed structure-and working closely with the Family Medicine Residency Program Director-the Behavioral Health Faculty will:
Provide confidential guidance and support to residents and faculty in areas such as well-being, burnout/resilience, interpersonal communication, conflict resolution, leadership development, interprofessional collaboration, and academic/career advancement.
Develop and implement longitudinal curricula in behavioral medicine, professionalism, career development, and wellness.
Advise programs on behavioral medicine and resident wellness within the educational context.
Offer educational resources and consultation on the psychosocial aspects of medical care, including strategies for understanding and addressing common mental health conditions from an educational standpoint.
Note: This position does not involve direct clinical care of patients, but plays a vital role in supporting the behavioral health needs of learners and ensuring alignment with ACGME accreditation and curricular expectations.
Minimum Qualifications
Required Education:
Doctoral degree (PhD or PsyD) in Psychology
Major/Area of Concentration: Behavioral Health, Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, Behavioral Science, or related field
Preferred Education:
Doctoral degree (PhD, PsyD, or EdD) in Clinical or Counseling Psychology, or related field
Additional training in medical education, health professions education, or organizational leadership
Required Certifications, Credentials, and Licenses:
Must hold, or be eligible for, independent licensure to practice in a behavioral health field in the State of Ohio
Completion of De-escalation Training within 6 months of hire
Preferred Certifications:
Certification or training in physician coaching, resilience training, or organizational well-being
(e.g., Certified Physician Development Coach, National Wellness Institute certification)
Experience Requirements
Required Experience:
Minimum 3 years of experience in behavioral health, counseling, or a related field
Experience working with adult learners or professionals in high-stress environments (healthcare, education, etc.)
Demonstrated ability to teach, mentor, or counsel in an academic or healthcare setting
Strong understanding of wellness, resilience, and behavioral medicine concepts in the context of medical education

Serve as a member of a dynamic and collaborative administrative support team within Ithaca College, in a forward-facing role supporting college academic operations at the departmental, school, and college-wide levels. Administrative duties may vary but generally includes assisting with managing student academic data and status, maintaining files and processing forms, assigning advisors, preparing and reviewing reports, course scheduling and enrollment, events, orientation, registration, processing invoices and payments, taking meeting minutes or preparing correspondence, responding to phone calls or emails, ordering course materials and supplies, and other departmental needs as requested. Core Responsibilities:

Work Environment
The work location will be on the downtown Ithaca Commons in our Physician Assistant Rothschild Building (parking is not provided but is accessible by the TCAT bus system).
Most of the work of the incumbent is carried out within a generally accessible, safe, indoor environment. The incumbent will be required to use a personal computer and associated equipment as well as other office equipment used in the day-to-day operations. The incumbent may need to deliver various materials on campus, or participate in off-campus events, requiring the ability to walk or drive or make other travel arrangements. Evening or weekend work may be requested.
This position is 37.5 hours per week, 52 weeks per year.
