For nearly 75 years Rice Lake Weighing Systems has been a successful, growth-oriented company known as a leader in the weighing industry and our community. We are currently seeking a Paint Prep Operator to join our energetic and skilled Roughdecks & Mounts department.

The Paint Prep Operator At RLWS, the Paint Prep Operator is responsible for ensuring that all parts are properly prepared for the painting process, according to standard work instruction and Rice Lake quality standards. The Paint Prep Operator completes this process by properly hanging or rigging products, inspecting items to ensure they are clean and ready for the prep process, and then uses equipment to wash parts and apply phosphatizing chemicals. Tools this employee will operate include various power hand tools such as; hand grinders, dual action (da) sanders, wire wheels, power washer/spray wand, and other equipment such as a forklift or overhead crane system. This employee keeps orders prioritized and works in a fast-paced environment to meet production expectations and customer demand. Other functions as assigned

This position will work Monday - Friday with the core hours of 7:00 am - 3:30 pm, with overtime as needed.

Education and Experience

High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)

Skills

Ability to read manufacturing documentation

Good power hand tool skills

Good communication skills preferred

Blueprint reading skills preferred

Ability to operate a forklift and overhead crane (on the job training is provided)

Certificates, licenses, training, or other job-related requirements

No current restrictions prohibiting regular lifting of 50 lbs.

Job Summary: Will be working in the Powder Coating department. Not a lot of experience needed, mostly labor work, they are willing to train. Some shop or manufacturing background would be good. Needs to be able to reach at least up to 5'11 to hang the metal pieces they are painting. Will be fitted with a respirator. Must wear all safety equipment provided
Job Title: Paint Room Labor


Pay: $18

Shift: 6:00 am to 3:00 pm. Monday - Friday. Must be able to work OT as needed.

Responsibilities:

* Assist painters or other co-workers on-site

* Follow instructions from supervisors to perform manual labor tasks
* Report issues with equipment or unsafe conditions
