We are seeking an experienced commercial painter to work full time on our downtown properties, which include office buildings and retail spaces. You will be moving from one project to another at all times. Projects can include trim work, interior doorways, and hallways as well as office spaces. As a part of the Operations Team, your ability to stay on schedule while maintaining quality is critical. Requirements Skill sets should include: Must have at least 2 years experience professional painting Utilizes standard paint equipment such as paint and airless spray equipment, motorized lifts, paint brushes, and other related equipment Applies technical knowledge of all coating materials to ensure proper application Prepares for painting by erecting scaffold and ladders properly Patch, repair, tape and mud drywall Disposes of residual materials according to local guidelines Daily communication with the office manager on job progress and supply needs Reports to management upon job completion or when problems/discrepancies occur Maintain a neat and clean work area Adheres to all company policies and procedures paying particular attention to health and safety procedures Ability to work independently is a must Ability to lift and carry a minimum of 50lbs Ability to stand for long periods of time

JOB SUMMARY (the purpose and general nature of the job): The painter is responsible for preparing various electrical control panels, consoles, and junction boxes to be sprayed with wet paint. The painter is also responsible for moving the equipment to the designated painting areas. A customer may also request custom color(s). PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES include the following: Operates surface preparation equipment and prepares surfaces properly for painting. Tape off and masks parts properly. Applies paint consistently, safely and without defect. Operates all necessary equipment in the paint department including surface preparation equipment, spray booth and spray guns. Prioritizes paint jobs to meet the needs of the assembly lines. Maintains all necessary records for the paint department. Fills out necessary documentation and ensures products are labeled properly and legibly. Cleans and maintains equipment according to proper procedures. Other duties as assigned. KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS: Minimal requirements for education, knowledge, and experience: Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent. Must have relevant work experience.
