Full-time Description What you'll be doing Surface Preparation: Clean, sand, scrape, and patch surfaces (walls, ceilings, trim, etc,) to prepare them for painting. Fill holes, cracks, and joints with putty, plaster, or caulk. Apply masking tape and protective coverings (drop cloths, plastic sheeting) to protect adjacent surfaces, and flooring. Painting Assistance: Load and unload tools, equipment, and materials at the job site. Carry ladders, scaffolding, and paint containers. Assist in setting up and dismantling staging, and safety barriers. Apply basic coats of paint, primer, or sealant under the direct supervision of a skilled painter. Equipment and Site Maintenance: Clean and maintain brushes, rollers, spray, guns, and other painting tools and equipment immediately after use. Ensure all supplies are organized and stored properly. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by removing debris and disposing of waste materials properly. Monitor inventory and report when supplies need reordering. Safety and Compliance: Follow all company and job site safety rules and procedures. Wear and maintain required personal protective equipment (PPE), such as gloves, respirators, safety glasses, and hard hats. Adhere to proper handling and disposal procedures for hazardous materials.
