932-Painting - 5548-932 Maintenance Painter Under general supervision, to prepare, repaint interior/exterior surfaces of residential buildings and community facilities and perform related work as required. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Following verbal or written instructions, mixes and matches paint colors as required, scrapes and prepares surfaces for painting, patches cracks in stucco surfaces and paints exterior surfaces with brushes, rollers or spray guns. Paints building trim, paints interior surfaces matching new to old painted surfaces. Sets up and climbs ladder, planks and scaffolding in painting the exterior of multi-story buildings as a member of exterior painting crew. When assigned as scaffold person- requires an individual with the ability to construct steel scaffolding up to a height of three stories, including the setting up of ladders and planks. Must have solid working knowledge of the tools necessary for the setting up and construction of scaffolding. Drives a company truck to deliver and pick up materials and supplies.
