Painter - Historic Restoration Worcester Eisenbrandt (WEI) is seeking talented Commercial Painters to work throughout the Metropolitan Maryland, Washington D.C., and Virginia area. We are looking for individuals who take pride in their work, are highly motivated, reliable, and can work independently as well as part of a team.

Job Responsibilities
Apply coats of paint, varnish, stain, enamel, or lacquer to decorate and protect interior or exterior surfaces, trimmings, fixtures, and other structures.
Apply caulk professionally on various substrates including masonry, wood, and concrete.
Repair imperfections in substrates using appropriate materials.
Select premixed paints or mix pigments, oils, thinners, and drying agents to achieve specified colors.
Apply paint using cloth, brush, sponge, or fingers to create special effects.
Perform finishing and detail work as required.
Ability to work overtime when needed.
Physical Requirements
Dependable and reliable; able to fulfill job responsibilities consistently.
Perform physically demanding work, including heavy lifting, reaching, handling, installing, positioning, and moving materials.
Maintain good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
Able to wear required PPE, including respiratory protection, safety shoes, glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and hard hats.
Comfortable climbing and maintaining balance on scaffolds two or more stories high.
Ability to lift and carry objects weighing 50-75 pounds.
Qualifications
Minimum 3-5 years of commercial painting experience.
Lead certification a plus.
Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle to travel to various sites in the DMV metropolitan area.
Comfortable working on scaffolds and at heights.

Role Specific Requirements Include:

Inspect facility surfaces both interior and exterior to determine surface wear and deterioration.

Order and purchase all supplies and materials needed.
Prepare sketches or drawings with dimensions for striping parking lots, loading docks and traffic routing.
Provide input and assistance, as requested to the director or designee concerning blueprints, technical data, contract language, or legal requirements pertaining to methods, materials, and application standards for all in-house or contract painting work or new construction.
Prepare reports of cost estimates for supplies and labor on major paint jobs.
Train and provide work direction and guidance to assigned staff

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent GED, or equivalent military experience
Completion of an approved apprentice vocational program or four years of progressively responsible experience
