EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

special training in the painting trade, is generally preferred. Experience and education may be substituted for one another.

About the Role
The Autobody Painter is responsible for preparing, priming, and painting truck bodies, trailers, and components according to company quality and safety standards. You will ensure all finished surfaces meet durability, appearance, and performance expectations.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare surfaces through sanding, masking, cleaning, and priming
Mix and match paint colors for accurate finish results
Apply paint coatings using spray guns (HVLP)
Inspect and correct defects such as sags, runs, or thin spots
Follow all safety, environmental, and material-handling procedures
Maintain spray guns, paint booths, and equipment
Apply undercoats, sealers, and topcoats to various surfaces (metal, fiberglass, composites)
