Under minimal supervision, performs inspections, maintenance, and repairs of moderate to advanced complexity on aircraft systems and structures. PAINTER / BODY REPAIR PERSON TICO is an equipment logistics solutions company that has been in business since 1946. While based out of Savannah, TICO has locations throughout the coast and interior United States. TICO owns and operates over 1500 Jockey Trucks/Terminal Tractors and 800 plus specialty trailers. SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING: Pressure wash and degrease the tractor to remove salt spray/contaminates. Survey and identify the damages with your supervisor to determine the extent of damage and decide which parts can be repaired or need to be replaced. If the vehicle is heavily damaged, measurements need to be made to determine if there has been structural damage to the vehicle before operating. Remove body parts as needed to access and repair the damaged area. Remove all decals and decal residue. Replace body parts and perform fiberglass repairs as needed. Paint all surfaces after performing body repairs to include the entire cab, deck grating and wheels. Re-install body parts as needed. Install new decals. Clean and detail cab interior. Maintain a clean work environment. Observe all company/agency mandated safety practices. Other duties may be assigned. REQUIREMENTS: A minimum of one year's experience in automotive/truck, light or heavy equipment maintenance and repair or completion of accredited vocational technical school program.
